Your years-long victim role playing as the poor-me, everyoneâs-against-me, Iâm-merely-defending-myself, youâre-all-wrong, your-all-bullies is indeed same as it every was. Your act is tedious and ran its course a long time ago.
The truth is, you relish being the victim you perceive yourself to be. Totally morbidly entertaining attention getting behavior. Kudos for being able to keep it up for so long. I often wonder why, if you hate us all so much, you keep showing up, same as you ever were.

Forgive me for commenting not directly relative to your discussion with Kurt. Though I think relevant, this statement pretty much represents the nature of the corrosive body politic in this glorious promise of a country for oh, say, a long time. Now aided by the internet it has metastasized and drags seemingly every issue to an unresolved/unresolvable position. Oh, there's plenty of resolve, just not the kind that produced our sacred documents. Rather than compromise in a way designed, it has become tragic, and from where does the current leadership arise? Asking rhetorically, of course. I guess AI will fix it.
Of course some folk like bickering and futility. It soothes like rubbing the gums around a toothache. AI can help with that also. We're counting on it. Or not.
Where am I going with this? Not sure. Probably nowhere. Call me obsessed with abscesses and recesses. JMHO. No daggers or lightening bolts.
As was clearly stated in my post, I am bothered by this compromising of my principles and, even more so, what it portends.
It obviously is not a cause for celebration.
Nor should it call for mockery, sarcasm, condescension, or other simplistic responses.

To me it seems like a friendly bar with one particular asshole. There is also a table of frat boys who keeps playing tubthumping on the juke box and throwing up all over the bathroom. But otherwise the music is really good. The chicken wings are hit and miss though.
So you see RP as nothing more than bar full of single minded bullies. Very well then ...

If I went to my local bar, and actively picked fights with people over topics I didn't really even care much about, and frequently changed sides on issues or major topics, I wouldn't be surprised if the locals got upset with me.

The deleterious impact of Trump upon our democratic and societal norms fell heavily upon me today. I voted yes on a referendum that authorizes the Virginia legislature to adopt new congressional districts for the November 2026 elections instead of waiting to do so until after the 2030 Census. I was â and am â deeply conflicted. This vote went against my principles and my sense of what is right. That said, I recognize that what normally would be considered right â and fair â has been turned on its proverbial head. This is Trumpâs legacy â the devaluation of principles and the erasure of lines of what is right and fair.
How liberating it must feel to support your party by abandoning your principles just to support your party.
