So yeah, that’s what I’m focused on at the moment.

Says you. Just because you don't remember some things makes things a certain way ?

While it would certainly be a nice thing to do, again, you do not know the circumstances regarding the parents.

If they were told by their attorney to say nothing, then what do you got ?

How about they might be afraid for their own lives ?

I would be more focused on Biden and the lapdog media and the inciteful things they say and how things got to this point if I were you.

You did notice that Morning Joe was cancelled Monday morning for fear of what stupid or dangerous things the regulars might say ?

Did you see Holt's interview with Biden where he asked specifically about the "bullseye" remark ?  Biden didn't do much to walk it back.  In fact he seemed to double down on it.

This is what gets you incensed? All the shitty things your guy says every goddam day and you're upset that Veev thinks it's fishy that the family hasn't made a statement? THAT's a bridge too far? Take your selective outrage somewhere else.

Pretty safe to say, NONE !

I’m heartless? Catch me up on that one genius.

Who’s talking about sides? There are no sides here. The act was inexcusable and the fact that an ex-president nearly lost their life while a bystander actually did and others were seriously injured is horrific. Or you have a different spin on that? Maybe the fact that I’m anti-assassin is throwing you?

I don’t know what is up your ass but you need to find a way to dislodge it fast because it is clouding your already befuddled thinking. Either that or perhaps thinking and typing are just your enemy.

My point is that issuing a statement now is already too late. And what/why are you even bringing up whether they may be liberal or conservative? How does that factor into what I posted? It matters not, human decency would dictate that you would immediately issue a statement disavowing any knowledge of what happened and offering condolences and sympathy for all affected by the heinous act. The longer you wait to do that, the more fake/hollow it will sound when you finally do.

You're a heartless and clueless bastard.  It's not about what and how you think.

Clearly you missed my additional clarification in your rush to judgment.

Losing a child under any circumstances is tough.  I hope you never experience that kind of loss.  I watch my wife deal with it everyday.

Perhaps, but their silence on their son’s actions with respect to not having released a public statement… IMHO is inexcusable once the breath and scope of what he has done has been made known to them. What are they waiting for? Are they not entirely convinced his actions were criminal or are they trying to figure out how to use Chat GPT to “wordsmith” an ideal apology?

What will Vance do for Trump's foreign policy?
The Ohio senator's ideology is hard to nail down as he has vacillated between restraint and interventionism

Probably because they have good attorneys.  I am sure they will issue a statement in the near future once the dust settles.  Unless they approve of their son's actions, then it is something else, like aiding and abetting.  They are both IIRC, social workers who as a rule tend to be very, very liberal.

Then again, the family openly owned guns, so all bets on the previous are off.  You and the rest of us will just have to patiently wait for them to speak.

The Big Lebowski was their best film by my lights but yeah for months I walked about warblin' "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow." Tim Blake and John Turturro were hysterical.
