I'd love to see it and then hear how that couldn't be them in the footage. Can you imagine the accusations of the editing conspiracies and how the media has now turned to FAKE PHOTOS?

He's been such a liar that pretty much nothing is going to remove that stain. Of course, he doesn't care. This isn't about legit respect (since he's not getting legit feedback about his performance - he ignores everything that's not Fox&Friends apparently). It's about him increasing his fortune and feeling good about himself, not about truth and ethics and real greatness. Hopefully, he'll just be dead soon and all the gold bathrooms in the world will mean nothing.
Indeed. That is the key point - if his lips are moving, he's lying.

Totally agree. Unfortunately, he can't until the Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia ... thing with Mueller is over. Trump would get nailed on the Saturday Night Massacre thing before Sessions had left the building if he does it now. I understand the cannabis part. Actually this is a good thing if you take the Trump admin's word at face value. The enforcement will force Congress to finally deal with it formally. I don't care how many laws states pass, until the feds change the federal law, its still illegal. Enough states have made it legal, period, that Congress will finally have to act and make the decision. The people have pretty much spoken. In addition to the weed part, I think that Sessions has been compromised, blackmailed by someone / thing. I base that on all the things he hasn't done. Like why is Huma still walking the streets a free woman ? For that reason alone, he has to go. But as long as we have the Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia,Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia thing going, we'll have Sessions.

That the American media is partisan is no longer even in question. When some enterprising real journalist fact-checks this and Wolff can't prove what he has alleged they'll all publish an excerpt that no one will read and claim that the story was always about the story, not the accusations they so eagerly repeated. They will not be self-critical about how easily they fell for this. And when a real crisis, a real scandal emerges—when we need heroic journalism—their credibility with anybody who doesn't share their biases will be in ashes.
I get it: they want to fight Trump. They want to be the heroic resistors who bring down the bad man. But every spadeful of dirt they're flinging is coming from the grave they're digging for American journalism.
I share your frustrations; the sensationalism plays into the madcap/circus atmosphere that he thrives in. To a large extent, they are playing his game, by his rules, and paying far too much attention to his misdirections instead of what's really important. Whenever they descend into the sewers they're going to get s**t on their clothes, and won't smell good when they have something substantial to report.

I get that you want perfection, and sloppy work angers you; but you should really resist the temptation to regularly paint with a broad brush in tarring "the media", as it gives the impression that you want to shove everyone in the business, including the careful, professional practitioners who mostly get it right, into this grave you mention. Of course they're human, but some of them are partisan hacks who aren't taking their jobs as seriously as they want us to. When major media outlets get it wrong and fail to own up to it and take corrective action it makes it hard for people who don't have the time to devote to doing their own fact checking to tell the signal from the noise. Scrupulous honesty is the only way past that cognitive bias and we're not getting it. That's not a matter of perfect execution, it's a matter of intent, of process, and commitment. Outrage is exhausting. Use it wisely. Use it sparingly so you have strength for the real battle.
