Awww Gaffney was so great! I got to see him sit in with Dave Alvin one smokin’ night in a tiny joint in LA. It was the final night of legendary Jack’s Sugar Shack, where Alvin frequently played. Halfway through the set here comes Gaffney, and breaks into Cowboys To Girls. Pure Magic.
