I see what you did there... Lyle Lovett's "If I Had A Boat" followed by "This  Old House."  Lyle covered  "Step Into This House" and named an album after this Guy Clark Song. Madrugada does not do the same song, but it's evocative.

Hey espheim, get used to the fact that music is universal and it will be universally critiqued; opera to vernacular music. This is a great song though and Frode's voice sustains it.

Oops.

First couple of measures had me thinking All Along the Watchtower. 

Couldn't help it!  The rest certainly does not sound like All Along the Watchtower in the slightest.

I would have touble pegging it to another song.
