Seems like you're in the minority, so hence, your comment is annoying.
That bass really drives this track.
Good grief that was annoying!
If this song doesn't get your feet tappin', you don't have any.
Funky! More Cowbell!
The first time I heard this I freaked out! I love the dual vocals. I love everything from R.L. Burnside.
Quel rythme, quel groove ! J'ADORE....!
Such a good song, now why is it that the song brings to my mind,  subterranean homesick blues,.. aah well ,the thought only adds to my enjoyment.
yeah - this good
Friggen awesome....I needed that.  Thank You, much appreciated.
This is “Blues as Blues were meant to be….”

Yeah! It could run a couple more minutes.  Bumping this fabulous bumping tune to a 9
Say what you will, but one of the good things about living in Mississippi is seeing these bluesmen and blueswomen live on a regular basis, usually in small clubs real late at night. R.L. was the real deal with zero apologies.
"... The pump don't work 'cause the vandals took the handle!"
Just cool!
What fun! 👌🏻
Bumping this to a 7.  Still not my favorite off this excellent album, but better than an 6 for sure.
Yeah baby.
The upper half is trying to keep up with the bottom half.
Okay lets all sing along!

Is it just me or can anyone else hear Lil Nas, Old Town Road?

Don't know about that, but when he sings '...anymore...' all I can hear is the Swedish chef from the Muppets

This tune still rocks though
One of a rare few musicians who lived long enough to make a successful album with his grandson.

Is it just me or can anyone else hear Lil Nas, Old Town Road?
Lyrics Born on RP!  I bet some of his solo tracks would even be a good fit on RP.
The whole album rocks! Whoop whoop indeed! 8^)

Hahaha! Just came to post the same thing!
If you like R.L. Burnside and other Delta Musians, I highly recommend that you take a look at the photographs of Bill Steber.  One of his photos of R.L. Burnside can be found at http://www.steberphoto.com/zow...R.L. Burnside - Bill Steber  Bill is an outstanding documentarian of deep south and he is great guy to boot.
Whoop whoop

I think I'm having an aneurysm.
Rapping by Lyrics Born
OK this is crazy but I hear that guy from Dead South...the one with the cello strapped over his shoulder singing that catchy bit from In Hell I'll Be In Good Company https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9FzVhw8_bY
7 to 8 with this listen.
8 only, because remix, though a cool remix.

Yes, and notice how the cadence of Dylan's number was directly influenced by Chuck Berry's "Too Much Monkey Business".  It's an old R&B style.

Must have been. Unfortunately RL has passed.

Aw hell no.  RL's remixes BUMP.
A sweet young thang from Pensacola via Mississippi turned me onto RL.  She liked pickled okra.  Good taste!
Don't spect me to apologize for liking this.
S%$T this is smoking!

{#Bananajam}Tooooo funky!
Interesting take on "Trouble", been covered by many. Personally I like the Clutch version "Electric Worry".
Ay yep...

Infectious. You'll have to decide if that's a good thang or a bad thang.

R.L Burnside is to the blues, what Cowboy Troy is to country! Except that I like this a little better. (Although "I play chicken with the train IS kinda entertaining!)

So yeah. I thinks its a good thing.
Infectious. You'll have to decide if that's a good thang or a bad thang.
The entire album is amazing. The basic blues make an excellent base for some zany and irreverent mixing.

Never thought I'd say this, but I like this version better than the Allman Brothers. Nice find, Bill.

Or at least a great interpretation, vice versa.  Agreed, great find.
I think it was fun to listen to.

"No lyrics available" WTF

RL Burnside wearing bizarre helmet with Freemason-like symbols on it

RL as Freemason on a Rampage...or sumpin'. Can you imagine the craziness if RL had teamed up with Screamin' Jay Hawkins?
My god... that was painfully repetitive.  Somebody tell me when it's over so I can turn RP back on.

RIP Robert Lee
i thought it was a cover of La Grange (ZZ Top). Interesting twist on basic blues progression.

Ditto.
I came across this video of RL at home in Mississippe in 1978 recently. R.I.P., R.L.

love this!

My band did "Goin Down South" from this same album.......same vibe as this song.Had the peeps dancing!
Ah, the music I grew up to, hearing it in juke joints and roadside clubs all through NC - the Castaway, the Red Door, the Embers Lounge, the Starlite. A culture paved over and replaced by McMansions and generica.

I'd rather have the juke joints . . .
Very iritating song!
THIS is awesome....
maybe you could try substutiting R.L. for SuperHeavy, Bill... {#Lol}
Final-fscking-ly.  Been a ho-hum afternoon here in paradise.

You might have known him before you could name him. Hisong "It's Bad You Know" was used during the closing credits of "The Sopranos."

If the guy on the album cover was white, it would look just like my dad.

Does your dad look like Archie Bunker? That's who I'm imagining when I look at RL on the cover.

If the guy on the album cover was white, it would look just like my dad.

My dad is a great guy, but can't sing and can't play the guitar at all.  Burnside is fantastic.
definitly too cool for his shirt! :){#Dancingbanana}
OOOHHHH HELL YEAH  !!!!!

Cool tune, excellent little bluesy groove.

What a gem. Go buy this album, so great.
I'd never heard of R. L. before Radio Paradise. This guy was great.
....just...wow
Oh yeah!

{#Dancingbanana}
R.L. Burnside is the Real Deal.
I was blessed to see him live once before he passed away.
It was never about money or fame or trying to fill a marketing niche or figuring out whatever demographics to cater to.
It was just about the music...
If you want visuals to go along with it, check out the DVD You See Me Laughin'

And he was never afraid to explore new territory like this cut with Lyrics Born ( and notice how the cadence of their part follows stroke for stroke Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" ) .  Evolution and Alchemy!  Had to give it a 10.

Waaaaaaow!  Yes. {#Bananajam}
Head bobbing...

Freakin yeah!!! At long last, some top-notch rap artists/material on RP! And a local East Bay boy, too...

LOVE IT - 9 Thank you, Bill! {#Heartkiss}

Of all the other interesting and funky tracks from this album besides Glory Be, why pick this one?
EDIT: Not that I don't like this song, but I would humbly suggest Goin Down South (also with Lyrics Born) and Rollin and a Tumblin' as more interesting options.  (I certainly understand that it would be hard to play Stole My Check even though it kicks A$$. {#Devil_pimp})

For anyone liking this, do check out the rest of the album.

trouble no mo all muddled up. me likey!
What the??!!!!

I've never heard this before... It's awesome!

I am definitely gonna do some research on this guy.

I'm not quite sure what to do with it, but I really want to like it.  Something about that chorus....
Lyrics Born, yeah!
OK, so let's get this thing movin
