An apple and a berry plant
Comes with a house
On the grass
Who is that
To come by my house

Stands outside my window
Sucking on the berries and
Eats us out of house and home
Keeping us awake
Keeping us awake

Can I come over, I need to rest
Lay down for a while
Disconnect
The night was so long
The day even longer
Lay down for a while
Recollect

Five AM
Out again
Triangle walks
Magpies, I throw sticks at them
They laugh behind my back

Getting a feeling
Maybe I will dream again
Having that feeling
When there's no one awake
No no one awake

Can I come over, I need to rest
Lay down for a while
Disconnect
The night was so long
The day even longer
Lay down for a while
Recollect

Also interesting: Alt-J's "Tessellate" strongly sounds like "If I Had A Heart", the first song on the Fever Ray album.

I can't bear it during waking hours

If you had more than 2 hours sleep you probably wouldn't be so grumpy :)

Or today from Beck's Soldier Jane; Bill is the master.
Top-notch segue, Bill!

Beck "Soldier Jane" --> this.

You clearly worked hard to get the sonic effects of "Soldier Jane" to mesh almost seamlessly with the effects at the start of this song. The two songs could be next to each on the same album.

Exactly what I was thinking/hoping for... but no.  *sigh*
Solid 8. Perfect example of why I listen and support RP!

A nice palate cleanser after Ke$ha!
It's like a hi fi version of The Goonies video game music
Great! ♥

Good call (last year). Does have sort of a Japanese-folk sound to it.

This truly made my day! I guess this count doesn't include people connecting through VPN, as well as the one connected while you're sleeping...you know they wake up during your night elsewhere, on this round sphere of ours
As for the "state runs everything" mmmmmmmouaaaahahahahah, so utterly funny!

Love the song by the way!

Friday morning in Beijing (where the state runs everything too...)

Billy I'm impressed they once opened for the Cowboy Junkies. Great thanks
More of a Man Ray fan meself.
Anyone reminded of Stewart Copeland - The Rhythmatist?
Bill, you just said she has a horrible voice, but it matches perfectly with the sound and then you are playing Victoria Williams with You r loved all the time... Something I really don't understand...
Fever Ray is playing with the voice in a very artistic and visionary way. They do something special, not taking care of risks.
and then there is Victoria Williams on heavy rotation *shakingmyheadspechlessandinwonder* {#Stupid}
By the way, could you please delete Victoria? {#Bounce}
Still haven't heard The Knife on here yet. Considering how often tracks from this record pop up I'd think you dip into the much larger catalog of them for something similar.
Based upon title alone: This begs to be followed by "Alt-J" Tessellate!
Superb album.

I like the music. But do not like the voice. so I do not know how to rate this. I keep it open. Would be a 7 or 8 with the voice of maybe Grace Jones.
The dude below me is not worth responding to.

Pfffft! I just spat out my nice cup of tea!

Freedom and options in the USA? Good grief man, do you have ANY idea what you just said? The USA is just about now on par with North Korea in terms of freedoms and options!

A genuine laugh out loud moment from Poacher Mansions.

Oh lord....
The original poster simply asked that this be played during hours when they are sleeping.  So that they don't have to hear it.  What does that have to do with the time of day in Bangladesh, Burma, Bangkok, Bhutan or Brussels?  Freaking nothing.  The guy/gal just doesn't want to hear this song.  Maybe your global RP masses will love it.

(back to the music) Oh, and hey, a Fever Ray song that I don't hate as much as that other one that gets so much play on here.  How cool!
I'm always curious what Bill will choose to follow Fever Ray with.
Nice sound, I'm thinking about using it for my next Miami Vice episode.

Isn't wonderful that Yoko Ono can still record music at her age ??  {#Eek}

Agree. {#Sunny}'Beat' is often morphed into rhythm for many people, observed among the folk I know. For me the pulse is the (heart)beat and the rhythm covers the feel, the instrumentation, the layering and the overall effect, long before I try to get the lyrics, if there are any. Enjoy.

GREAT!

Incredibly energetic music.

Absolutely can't stand this.  Her voice gives me the heebee geebees.
It's like Gamelan on antibiotics.
A solid "meh".

Ah, Dengue Fever is next on the playlist! {#Mrgreen} Cheers, Bill!

Sounds like Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" when you play the 33 1/3 at 45.

I could list dozens of successful singers with odd and interesting voices.  I happen to think her voice is odd and different enough to be unique.  Sure, she may not be the best singer out there, but I'd bet she's better than you.

Certainly better than I.

I was slow on board with this group, but they are growing on me. This is the song that did it.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. How sure are we that this isn't Fever Ray feat. Tegan and Sara?

In any case, very cool song.
Makes me think: Laurie Anderson and Siouxie, produced by Brian Eno

If you like that mix, buy the CD, it is good.

From 9 to a rare 10 for me.

If you like this then I really, really recommend the album.
"Described by Filter magazine as "sublime and magically creepy," Fever Ray continues to take us down another luminous path with the third single, "Triangle Walks" off her self-titled album"

Emphasis on CREEPY

Between this and her other song, I want to shoot myself. This one is better than "When I grow up", but not better enough to deserve more than a 1. (Although, both are better than my all time least favorite "Lime in the Coconut"...)

Imogen Heap - The Walk
