See the curtains hangin' in the window
In the evening on a Friday night
A little light a-shinin' through the window
Lets me know everything's all right

Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin' though the jasmine in my mind

See the paper layin' on the sidewalk
A little music from the house next door
So I walk on up to the doorstep
Through the screen and across the floor

Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind

Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom
July is dressed up and playing her tune
And I come home from a hard day's work
And you're waitin' there
Not a care in the world

See the smile awaitin' in the kitchen
Through cookin' and the plates for two
Feel the arms that reach out to hold me
In the evening when the day is through

Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind

They were so big that there was a Seals & Crofts Frisbee. That’s big. Seventies big."

They got too political in their lyrics-to the right.

Then one of them went country and had a career in those type of songs.

Did they really have jasmine in their minds?

Probably the Disney Princess
OK, this is spooky...

Ever since I was a kid, I've referred to this song as dental office music because the only times I really heard it were when I was at the dentist (when they played EZ listening music, naturally).

Fast forward to today: I haven't heard this song for a long while, likely years, and I just came home from a dental visit, flipped on RP, and what was waiting for me, but good ol' Summer Breeze!

With apologies to Seals & Crofts, todays events really...ahem...sealed it for me: this has always been, and will always be associated with dentistry (at least for me - I imagine someone else is remembering this as their wedding song or something much more pleasant) 🙂
As a teen in the early 80s, I used to listen to this album on my parents' turn table, with their headphones.
Wow...flashback...
RP is is starting to mix it up a bit here...

Wow, I haven't heard this in an age.  This song has held up better than I would have thought.  Very nice!

Hmm. I think there was a woolco in one of the larger towns near where I grew up. Was it related to woolworth? I seem to recall woolco being a smaller department store about the size of a modern pharmacy.
I think Woolworth owned Woolco, the latter being along the lines of K-Mart, Zayre, Aames, and even arguably served as a precursor to Target. In the shopping center of my childhood, both Woolco and Woolworth stood. Both long gone now, but in my mind they echo with the strains of Seals and Crofts, Player, Black Oak Arkansas, and...... Hey Bill, now they we have kicked open the soft 70s floodgate, can "Diamond Girl" be far behind?

Me too. I remember hearing this playing at Woolco! Remember that store?

Great visual. It reminds me of putting my hand in the hole of the tape casette display in order to examine the cassettes (or was that 8-tracks?) at the old kmart. Hmm. Kmart has long since closed down, casettes and 8 tracks have made way for CD's; and "glory hole" theft prevention display cases have made way for RFID. Damn, I am getting old.

Awww, c'mon. It's for the old farts listening. Cut 'em some slack
Thanks, Bill - it was nice being ten again for a few minutes!

Fine choice, Brave Bill! The vocals are very fine.
I like it. Bite me. Sweet harmonies, nice melody, a tight tune. Don't care where the last place you heard it was, I'm diggin' it here and now.

Man, I've got to get over there. No one should be rejecting EW&F without a fight.
Thanks so much for playing this song. I've always loved this version.

Nostalgia flood. The things I did while this record was playing...
corny perhaps, but will always remind me of being around 7 or 8, driving around with my mom in her old datsun wagon...
