Inside out
Upside-down twisting beside myself
Stop that now
'Cause you and I were never meant to meet

I think you better leave
It's not safe in here
I feel a weakness coming on

Alright then
(Alright then)
I could keep your number for a rainy day
That's where this ends
No mistakes no misbehaving
Oh, I was doing so well
Could we just be friends?
I feel a weakness coming on

It's not meant to be like this
Not what I planned at all
I don't want to feel like this
Yeah
No, it's not meant to be like this
Not what I planned at all
I don't want to feel like this
So that makes it all your fault

Inside out
Upside-down twisting beside myself
Stop that now
You're as close as it gets without touching me
Oh no, don't make it harder than it already is
I feel a weakness coming on

It's not meant to be like this
Not what I planned at all
I don't want to feel like this
Yeah
No it's not meant to be like this
Not what I planned at all
I don't want to feel like this
So that makes it all your fault

Big trouble losing control
Primary resistance at a critical low
On the, on the double, gotta get a hold
Point of no return, one second to go

No response on any level
Red alert this vessel's under siege
Total overload, systems down, they've got control
There's no way out
We are surrounded
Give in, give in and relish every minute of it

Freeze, or make it forever
I feel a weakness coming on

It's not meant to be like this
Not what I planned at all
I don't want to feel like this
Yeah
No it's not meant to be like this
It's just what I don't need
Why make me feel like this
It's definitely all your fault

Feel like this
It's all your fault
Feel like this
It's all your fault
Feel like this
It's all your fault
Feel like this
It's all your fault

This lady supported Josh Groban here on his last tour at the o2 in London.  It was just her and a piano.  Impromptu performance, probably, but missed the opportunity to impress.  Fluffed her lines regularly too.  The audience was glad to see the back of her, I think.  Shame, cos this is good stuff.
myspace music still turns me on

Yeah ... just what I was thinking. There's "eclectic" and then there's "not quite right here". This strikes me as the latter. (And makes me wonder on what basis some of my "submissions" got turned down!) (But I'm not bitter.) (Really.)
Outstanding  : )

I love this song. It was playing constantly in a difficult period in my life, and its amazing how powerful the emotions return when I listen—especially during the bridge, which is brilliant.

to be taken in small doses only  (for me)
dont like her voice and how it sounds
GREAT!

She just finished (or is finishing) a US tour! Saw it in Saratoga, California and it was magical.
Kinda... "soundtracky".. I don't know.

Like Heap's work, Frou Frou stayed in my auto CD player for some time.

Interesting you would say that since she produced her latest album, Ellipse.

What is the purpose of that crap anyway? Ruins a good song.

Imogen Heap is a goddess. She's just finishing recording a new album, should be out in a month or two, according to her vBlog..
Go find the Jeff Beck album You Had It Coming and listen to Rollin & Tumblin with Imogen on lead vocals - scary good.
Hey, RP - why not play that? :-)

Her voice projects an orgasmic quality. Raarhr.
Has a kind of Sarah McLachlan flavor to it, IMHO.  I sorta like it...seems quite "pop", however.{#Yes}

I am a bit shocked to learn you like this artist and tune, Excelsior.  Just when I thought I had your uniform rating scheme figured out (i.e., {#Puke}).

Sounds like JB's hot rod in there
SOMAFM turned me into a fan and I really enjoy Imo's CDs now (including Frou Frou).
This is a must-have album. Fun production throughout.
I really don't like this band. At all.
Enough already!
A must have, easily. Don't hesitate. Delicious stuff from start to finish. Immi does a cool little vocals-only song on this album too.
blecch.

Ou Bill yet another CD MUST HAVE, RP should really get a cut everytime you play this great music!
I like Imogen but she sure is getting a lot of mileage from her one song!
My favorite album of the year. Not one of my favorite tracks from the album, however.
Cool song, but those low-frequency swooshes in my earphones are killin' me. Ow.
I find this gal intriguing and I like the desparation in her voice and music. . . .

I've always like imogen since hearing hide and seek, however w.t.f's the noise in the background which sounds like someone blowing on the mic? edit/ hide and seek would be good to hear sometime
Nice set Bill, but you are seriously giving me the post lunch sleepies And I have much to do.

Possibly not that well educated..and a little foul mouthed too, but I won't hold that against you! And by the way, it's okay not to like something just because you don't like it, no?!
Finally picked this up; it's a great album.

Neither of them do anything for me...sinead or imo
Me either. They were both supposed to help me re-shingle my garage, and when the day came, by some miracle neither one of them was able to get to her phone. Oh, but they'll ask to borrow my pickup truck when they need to move.....pisses me off
You should take any opportunity you have to see Imogen live. It was an excellent experience.
I like her music and the way she crosses lines of gender and identity.

Blasphemy! Immi is much more talented than Sinead O'Connor! Keep in mind that she wrote every song on this album, performed every instrument, recorded and produced the whole thing. The girl is mega-talented. Thank you RP for turning me on to Imogen Heap. She's amazing. I don't know how anyone could mistake her voice for a guy... please... get the wax out of your ears! More please!
I thought it was Sinead O'Connor!

Thanks for conjuring up that charming visual.
This sounds like a very low quality mp3. ugh
Bought the album. Luvs it. It bears many, many listenings. Yummbly stuff!
Really? I guess a lot of the perception is in our assumptions. I vividly remember listening to U2's first album, "Boy" on Dec. 8, 1980 totally convinced Bono was a woman. Sarah
meydele wrote:

Yeah, despite the cover art and the insistance of my friend, I refused to believe that she was a woman. I blame all the feminine sounding male leads, they've confused my perception of secondary gender characteristics. Anyhow, the music is even more hawt now that I've been enlightened.

Another song to love by IH-- why don't I own this CD yet?
I was about to type Ditto, except then I remembered: the day I had cash and a memory to pick it up, I happened to be at the one Target in my area where I couldn't find it on the shelf and they had NO CLUE who I was talking about. "Imo-what? Heat? Who's it by?" - It's not BY anyone, it IS the person. "Who's the artist?" -IMOGEN HEAP! Geez! (Sigh. I like Target pricing on CDs, but their electronics peeps know nothing!)
Argh!!! This is the aural equivalent of having my scrotum dragged across 100 miles of sandpaper and then dunked in tabasco sauce. The vocals and arrangement sound like they are from two completely different songs. Less please!
LOVE it!!!
wow, what a sound
tasty and unique voice.
There's a very interesting sound at the start and occassionally throughout the song. Sounds kind of like a heavily muffled motorcycle engine. I like it.
mmm pop
This song and this woman are both godlike.

I straged with reasons not to buy it. first I read it had some clever copy protection. - then read it can still can be ripped then I couldnt find it in Israel - found it in Amazon then it was expensive. - then I got a cuopon - and the deal was stroke you wont regrat buying it. qulity of the cd is noticable over mp3 in IH case. Thanks RP

Ditto the previous replies. This is one of several very strong songs on this great album. The production on the whole album is excellent IMHO, and Imogen once again runs the gamut of vocal tricks throughout. (Of course, I've yet to find any Imogen Heap work that I dislike. YMMV.)
I love this woman's unique voice. Nice track. I got hooked on IH after hearing the collaboration with Jeff Beck, an updating of Jack of Diamonds.
Definitely a 9 BRAVO RP !
Why has this song never been played? It has a great sound and is definitely one of my favourites on this Imogen Heap album (the whole of which is brilliant, anyway).
9 plays and no comments for the walk?! Definitely one of my favorites off this album.
