I'm on a dock overlooking my mind
I hitch my boat and I drift off
Where fools whisper lies

Everything's a sign when dreams come alive

I'm not crazy at all, my friends they talk
I try to listen, but waves keep crashing
Against my mind to pull me where
The years are days and all those days are years I've lost
They've finally come to tell me
I'm alive in a boat to catch myself inside a dream

Everything's a sign when dreams come alive
Everything's a sign but still
You're asking why love is across
The frozen lake that always seems to break when you walk to the other side

You are here now
We're not crazy at all
You are free now
We're not crazy at all
You are safe now
We're not crazy at all
You are

all I wanted was a Pepsi, an they wouldn't give it to me...
This trippy, excellent, contemplative song always finds me in a glorious place...for so long, it used to often find me looking out over Tokyo from my tony little Gotokuji penthouse; now it finds me in groovy digs high above a creek where the cottonwoods and poplars are trying out their new leaves against the stiff winds of spring. I'm looking north along the Front Range, watching the jubilant march of Nature toward yet another summer unfold, while still seeing lots of new snow on Mount Audubon and the Indian Peaks Range... Like Paradise, especially with RP as a reliably surreal soundtrack!
Fair to say at this point he is definitely not for me, and appreciate RP exposing me nonetheless.
I love this album!!!
A perfectly sane song to listen to.

you’re not crazy at all

If you melt it and pour enough of it over everthing that is likely a true statement. I worked in a cheese processing factory in college...
A Supergrass song played at 0.5 speed.

(nice!)

Beautiful poetry to harmonious tunes played.
I love this album… the first song Trip was fucking fantastic until apple music lost it and replaced it with some instrumental shit.(I don’t know how that happened)

Anybody know what happened to this band?  I saw them once or twice and they were great.  Their website is no longer up.  Sad to see great bands go.  Another one that was good that went long ago but might be making a come back is Percy Hill, haven't heard that ever played on RP but might be worth a listen.

They got cancelled for Cultural Appropriation
I bit like Perry Farrell, I like it.
brings to mind Lindsey Buckingham's "Not Too Late"
Love this band, bummer I think they are done.  The website is no longer active and haven't heard a peep in years.
I thought the lead singer might be Cinjun Tate from Remy Zero, one of my favorite, relatively little known bands that RP also plays from time to time. Such a similar style to my ears.
Man, I haven't heard this band in YEARS. Great mellow follow-up to Porcupine Tree.
I believe that Mariqueen Mandig, vocalist and South Pacific beauty extraordinaire, moved on; yeah, she broke up with one of the blokes, married Trent Reznor, and that was that...  Too bad, because they really had a great thing going! Alas, as Buddha Said, ALL things arise and pass, arise and pass...there is only the arising and passing of phenomena...  But they left us a wonderful sonic legacy!

Soothing music…
I was convinced this was The Thrills. The voice anyway...
Ocean, sunlight and seagulls, yeah
I welcome this! Always good to hear, always takes me back to the sunny penthouse perch I had in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo from 2002-12...
Very nice!
Awesome that you play this relatively unknown song.  Its definitely a great one.
I'm amazed that this doesn't get played more often.  Very cool.
Prefer "Miles From Monterey" from the same album.
I find that this song still works really well for me, setting the mood to Dreamy as I find myself at Standard Orbit here on a sunny lush green morning with the smell of freshly cut grass wafting in on the delightfully cool breeze...  I miss this trippy band and the sounds they made...
Yawn, hhhmmmm, zzzzz.  Praise from the folks who don't "get" Bob Dylan?  T-D-Us.
This is a great band....and they have mixes and bonus music on the their site. Check them out and listen to more grooves and trip!

Can't forget how I was one shimmery summer day out tending the planters on the balconies of my then still new-feeling breezy rooftop perch in Setagaya, Tokyo with the sliding doors open and sound up good and high when this band burst onto the RP stream and Wow it held me tightly and wound me up in its delightful spell and I still like how it lingers long and lyrical and reverberates deep within my soul.

This DJ rocks.

None of us are worthy.

No one but a girl from West India (I assume she's from Goa).

And you, of course!!!

He and she speak the same language, if in different dialects.
Can you imagine the gal from thia band is engaged to Trent Renzor of Nine Inch Nails?  Go figure, totally different musical tastes, wonder how that works!

I love RP HD, but for some songs, I just want to close my eyes and see how the music alone can spur my imagination, and this is one of those songs
Reminds me of Jane's Addiction.

It's kind of trippy/psychedelic-sounding and smooth, like this tune.  It's not for everyone, but I like it.  You can probably check out little samples on Amazon or look for some of the tunes on YouTube.

Their musical output may be "totally different" from each other's, but their "tastes" probably run pretty close. (I guess){#Ask}

Hard to believe it's been 4 years already since this record came over the waves here at RP... Still sounds good, as does the carrier!

Just bought the Album from RP's iTunes link. Nice. Very much looking forward to this.
Still love this!

It's better as a song to listen to on purpose than as background music to a Budweiser commercial.
The cover looks like a Bird of Paradise flower. (click here)
Every time I listen to this, it reminds me of West Indian Girl... now that's a great band!
Oh so nice. Great segue from Porcupine Tree, too.
This sounds a lot like Spiritualized with a sprinkling of Flaming Lips
The good thing about this song is that no matter how stressed, up tight or pissed off I feel when I hear this song, by the end of the first few bars of guitar I feel much better. It reminds me of driving on a sunny day on a curvy, open highway... yeah RP
Yeah. Why no Mercury Rev? Fredrikson wrote:

I bought this CD--most excellent, would recommend.
Nice sound. Breezy, relaxed. If you like this give Treehouse's "Save me from me" a listen at www.myspace.com/treehouseonline
I'm diggin this song.

Haven't heard this lovely gem for awhile. Good cd!
Dang, the voice on this track (Dream) sounds like Tim DeLaughter.... Check out some Tripping Daisy!
Oh wow...once again this beautiful song rescues me from the boredom of my workday...

yeah, the whole album is beautiful to listen to all the way through. I enjoyed them in concert too, at the Troubadour, a few months ago. And btw, this was my second official Radio Paradise purchase (The first being Arcade Fire), so thank you, RP!
I don't know the rest of the album, but this sounds like Coldplay meets the Beatles. 1meadowwoods wrote:

Great song ¡muchas gracias!
Dammit, Bill, I'm trying to work here! ;-) Just bumped the rating up one more notch. Gotta do that when at the first note I'm reaching to turn up the volume. (the reverse is also true, of course)
Love this band
What a great song!! Thanks for introducing me to this artist.
This reminds me a lot of some of the more laid back stuff by Tripping Daisy, particularly stuff from "I Am An Elastic Firecracker". Bill, how about throwing some of that in the rotation?

No, it's kinda dreamy and pleasant like a hot air balloon. I'm giving it 2 more points.

Is this band named after a drug? Someone told me that the other day. EDIT: Just confirmed that. Named after a type of LSD.
Ho hum. Doesn't pain me (things that cause pain are 1's), but it doesn't grab my attention or get me bopping, which is pretty much my definition of "ho hum."

So airy...so beautiful...a 9.
Funny, this doesn't sound like a West Indian Girl.......
Gee... I don't think I've ever heard a song sound like such hard work!

mmmm. sort of stone roses/primal scream-ish. I like.
nicely spacey and swooshy
Nice transition btw West Indian Girl - Dream and Interpol - Untitled.
Wow, this is really good.
