Interesting song choice considering China's earthquake flooding and record flooding in the Midwest...
A happy, toe-tapping tune on a Tuesday. Diggin' it.
Cool band, cool songs, cooler videos.
A bit like Belle & Sebastian.
First time I have ever awarded a, " 1," rating. Worst song I ever heard on RP.
Fey.
None for me thanks.
Just what I needed this morning.

Very Muppet Show. Sing it, Kermit!
Freak! It really is Kermit the Frog singing.

Why does this song make me think of an Old Navy commercial...
Because it should be made to walk the plank.

Bit of a Brazilian sound, good drumming and bass work... I'm not sure about the vocals.
Very Muppet Show. Sing it, Kermit!
Very Belle & Sebastian.
Ahhh, thanks to Ernesto this might be exactly what we have here in Virginia!

I completely understand that...I was angry about a call I just had in the office, but as luck would happen, this song came uo and cheered me up as I hung up!!
This song always gets me grooving in my chair.

As soon as Bill announced the name of the band, that is EXACTLY what I thought of too!! (except the band on the show was a lot better!!)
Man, I just came over to post the same thing. That was the name of the band on Gilligan's Island. Too funny.
Cool retro Bossa Nova tune.
Light silly sound...good for a beach blanket bingo party or something! wouldn't want to listen to it all the time, but definitely a pleasant 60's throwback sound for a little diversion!

Hey, isn't this the band that landed on Gilligan's Island and got themselves rescued without helping the other castaways because Gilligan knew how bad they sucked!?

the singer sounds like a muppet.
Makes me want to do the Twist!
Pretty good bass lines...don't know how it would stand up without the good bass playing though.....

Reminds me a bit of Air Miami, or maybe The Sea and Cake.
Yes! I was listening to RP today, not paying attention to who was on and when this song came on, I had to see who it was. It sounded familiar because of hearing that same NPR piece - maybe back in March? It's nice to have a stations that play bands that break away from the norm. I'm going to have to order this one. snortch wrote:
anyone hear the interview with these guys on npr? good stuff
Smash Mouth has a "Bossa Nova" song that sounds curiously similar to this...I bet Smash Mouth made it first
Good stuff.

Uniqueness of it hit me on this first listen. Looking forward to more!
The Mosquitos were the worst band I've ever seen live. They opened for Air in DC, and were dreadful. Just dreadful.
Deserves more comments and airplay ;) very nice song...
Nice! A new band to love. That doesn't happen every day, y'know.
