Weeks of algorithm "curated" playlists on Spotify might turn up a couple of interesting sounds. Fifteen minutes of listening to Radio Paradise with playlists curated by human beans and I've already found three songs that are absolute belters. And this is one of them.🐨
100%
Double melancholy as I listen to this song and replay the movie's plot while remembering that the great character actor, Richard Farnsworth, died by suicide.
Such a wonderful movie, regardless.

So what do you really hope they are, Chimpanzees, uh? Of course they are human beings, don't you recognise word play when it's used?🐨
As english is not my mother tongue - no, apparently not.
But your tone - if one can say that about something written - appears a bit aggressive. Calm down, please.
Well, I hope, neither Bill nor Rebecca are actually human beans!

8 --> 9

Missed this one - thanks for the tip! I'm always a big fan of both Angelo Badelamenti (perhaps best name ever) and Lynch.

Maybe that gets at the true meaning of eclectic... a wide ranging taste in music of a particular essence. The algorithms of amazon, spotify and pandora have never worked for me at all. I don't like all the music Bill does, but his taste is very aligned with mine at some kind of mystical root.
You would like the movie.

Yes. So is your name

I can see your point, but sometimes the journey matters more than the destination?
I'm certainly happy with it!!
Sometimes music doesn't need to take you anywhere, it's OK to be lifted gently, carried with the flow for a short while before being carefully deposited back to your place of comfort.

doesn't sound like it was written for a movie
Looks like he 3rd'd it before me.

I second that!
I'll third that!

I agree

Funny, but not very accurate. It is literally David Lynch meets Disney, and if you're familiar with his work you can see it's him, but without all the evil. Sweet and slow, small in scope, and well crafted, the end made my girlfriend (now wife) sob a bit. And, as is typical with Lynch, great music by Angelo Badalamenti. I rather liked it, but it's not everybody's cup of tea.
The real Alvin Straight's path took him about an hour north of where I grew up. I remember seeing him on the news and everything.
The movie still gives me a homesick lump in my throat.
this us the closest thing you have played to Irish traditional music and I recommend you try some more TRAD
I second that!
The slowest road movie ever made
If you didn't already know, it's a true story. David Lynch goes Americana. Strange, but true. In that sense, at least, it's The Elephant Man.
