You're a wrong turn
A big fat "No,"
You're the 5th drink before a long drive home
You're the thing to avoid
The bars to my cage
You're all I think about everyday
You've got that thing
That my wildest dreams are made of
You set my world on fire
I die every time you walk by
I can't hide that I'm drawn to you
Desire is such a wicked little high
When the one you want is blind to you
You're the third scoop
The second pack
You're the reason for therapy
Why I should go back
Hey, Mister Wrong
You're the tingle in my jeans
You're everything I don't want
But everything I need
I see other guys
But their kisses don't mean nothin'
'Cause you're what I have in mind
I die every time you walk by
I can't hide that I'm drawn to you
Desire is such a wicked little high
When the one you want is blind to you
You're a wrong turn

What a beautiful song and equally lovely voice.
seems no one leaves comments any more. This one is out of left field for me. A lovely ditty.

WOW!! What a beautiful voice!! Song is deep, albeit, a little short. Haven't heard or, heard of her, until just this song. More usually find me in Rock mix or, Main mix. Glad I visited! Shoulda known I would find just as fine a quality of tunes here, as well!! After all, it IS RP!! Thanx Bill & Rebecca, for bringing us such fine listening pleasure!! God bless. Long live RP!!
what a nice voice and glamous lyrics...
blech!

Yes, bathos has its place.
Sweet. Very intriguing.
It blows me away that she accomplished all this after running away from home at 15 and being homeless for a year before ending up in LA.

Yes. As much or more so than most of what we discuss on these fora.
Interesting 'marketing decision' if that is the case.
Note that lots of North American actors would rather be full-time musicians.

Not to change the subject, but here's a re-post from another of her songs: It seems that she records songs using "Bird" and acts using "Kathleen." Maybe she wants to keep these two facets of her career separate for some reason.
Does this matter?
indeed.................
Beautiful fluff and fantasy that makes me slow down a little. Marvelously delivered.
Oh, really! Just kiss me and take those jeans off while you're at it! Yum!

(a wicked little high really helps this (and everything else) out...)

Does Toby know about this? Lyrics ain't bad.
"You're Mr Wrong, you're a tingle in my jeans" - ah, wouldn't it be nice if any woman had ever said that about me (sigh). Sometimes it's better to be Mr Rochester than New Man... :(
6 for the music, 7 for the lyrics.
Started out as a 7 but slid down to 6 before I could hit the 'rate' button. Song better end before it erodes another notch...
It's nice, but really does not have any substance; sort of like a rice cake.

I second that.
This is good music for a scene like this:

For all you Kathleen "Bird" York fans out there keep an eye out for her in a cameo appearance as a cop in the movie Crash. Also, towards the end of the movie she sings a song entitled 'Save Me'. Beautiful song.
Isn't the song called "In The Deep"? It was nominated for an academy award that year.

Kind of like Gomer Pyle and Jim Nabors, eh?
Reminds me of the Gray's Anatomy soundtrack my wife got for Christmas.

MAN! PT is tons better than this.... yaaawn... hmmmmyah... this errrmmm... hmmm what?
Nice, but not as good as any of the Porcupine Tree songs you play every 10 minutes.
The singing and lyrics are nice, but I find the instrumentation on this track truly captivating. Something about the combination of the low tones and that odd knocking caught my ear.

Since when does being on TV mean you're very talented?
West Wing counted for much more that just TV.
Wish I felt this tune counted for something.
Booooooooooooring

This song's very pretty, but all her stuff sort of gets to sound alike.
Yawwwwnnnnn - the production is weaker than the voice which is weaker than the lyrics.
For all you Kathleen "Bird" York fans out there keep an eye out for her in a cameo appearance as a cop in the movie Crash. Also, towards the end of the movie she sings a song entitled 'Save Me'. Beautiful song. Speaking of which, is it just me or does that film remind anyone else of Magnolia? Didn't Aimee Mann sing a song called 'Save Me' in that movie? Ooooo, trippy.....

I agree verbatim. Love the tune, love the way the song starts. If she could find some better lyrics... But I still like it.

Cool! I have wondered what her music is like. Very nice, as it turns out. Thanks Bill!

Let's say multi-talented. At least a good enough actress to convincingly play a rather serious congresswoman.

Cool song! this young lady plays Tobie's ex-wife on West Wing as well. So, obviously she is very talented.
But it seems her parents were not so cruel as to name her "Bird".

They named her Kathleen.
I don't care if she's on TV or not, the more I hear Bird, the more I like. I think I'm falling in love ;)

Pretty cool voice.. a little too high at points in my headphones.... But nice range...
Great track. Very Patty Larkin-like.
Amazing! I've become quite used to this song somehow and see that only 2 peop's have commented on it.
I think this song has a personality of it's own, nice and fresh, please keep it in rotation.
