Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling, kiss me
Fill my life with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling, kiss me
Fill my life with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, in other words
In other words, in other words
In other words
I love ... you
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling, kiss me
Fill my life with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for

Exceptional talent. Love her.

Agreed. For me she is uninteresting and doesn't bring anything new to the art of jazz. But if new people are exposed to jazz as a result of her music, then it is ok with me.

Yeah, but you'd probably say that about ANYBODY follow Miles Davis. I think Ms. Krall does an OK job.
Didn't she have a cameo, singing in the movie, "The whole nine yards"?

And just who decided that?
I normally love this kind of warm voice, but I have to say I really can't get with Diana Krall. Also, Frank's version of this song can't be beat.

Congrats to Diana and Elvis on the birth of their twin boys, Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James!

Too bad she is following Miles Davis in this set. The differences are, shall we say, rather apparent.

She's pretty much ready to drop Elvis's twins. Christmas comes early for Mr. and Mrs. Costello.
Earth would be a better place without her, so yes, somebody please fly Diana Krall to the moon and leave her there. Preferably without a space suit.

Meh.

Singer is great, guitar is great, but that piano solo was all over the map - hard to listen to, IMHO. I have listened to some jazz before, but I hated that piano solo. You can tell a good jazz solo by the fact that a musician can wander off the path but comes back in on beat. This guy went wherever he wanted and came back in whenever he wanted. A good jazz solo wanders off without sounding like he's left the band behind. Just my opinion. The rest of the song is great.
"he" (the pianist) is most likely Diana Krall herself.

I tend to agree. And I don't have to listen to it at work.
blah..

Sorry. Her voice is so bland. Her phrasing isn't anything exceptional. I can't comprehend why some people think she is so great? Please explain....

Tony Bennet does it much better, vocaly; but the piano player kicks boo-dee.

I'm no fan, but credit where it's due: the piano player IS the vocalist.

Indeed. Krall singing this song is like Adam Sandler trying to play the part of Marlon Brando in a remake of The Godfather.
In todays Hollywood that movie could become realality.

Maybe not yet up there with the greats, but she's got some big shoes to fill, and she takes a good shot at it. Go Diana.
There is a reason that the majority of this version of the song is instrumental. Sounds like karaoke.

Mechanical Delivery.
Tony Bennett kicks major ass on this.
This woman has an amazing voice. I don't really care for jazz vocals however.

Nicely done, Diana has got it going on.
absolutely one of the best voices working in jazz today. A very talented pianist as well. Bravo!

It's not a cover, it's an interpretation, by all meanings! And that's a difference.
