This broken wheel is coming undone
And the road's exploding
But you're keeping me strong
Rolling along with you
Love is a tower
And you're the key
Leading me higher
When you let me in
Keeping us close, so close
On down the line
Sometimes I burn like a dot on the sun
With no one knowing
But you're keeping me strong
Moving along with you
You are a tower of
Strength to me
The darkening hour
Sees light again
Ooh wah, ooh wah, ooh wah, ooh wah, ooh wah
You are, you are, you are, you are
Love is a tower
Of strength to me
I am the shoreline
But you're the sea
You are
You are
You are
You are
You

Vastly under-appreciated record.
Wow! A Pearl Jam song that I actually like :)
Sublime distortion.
"Love is a tower
And you're the key"
Hmm, I kind of expect a bit better from Pearl Jam.
But don't mind the rest of the song.

Funny, these things we call personal preferences. I don't care a whit for PJ, but hadn't heard this before, and it sounded ok. This song is perfect with high quality head phones. You can hear the guitars in 3D :)

This is the first time I have heard this song, and it sounds great. Usually Pearl Jam just rates an ok plus for me, but this one is an exception.
Awesome groove. I really like Eddy Vedder's voice, especially (as here) when he is not screaming. He has such a meaty powerful sound.
What a lovely description of love can be a dark journey at times ...
Great overall sound - if only they'd had a vocalist that could sing.
Well said.. of course I completely disagree with everything you did say..... but it was said well.

I have enough trouble getting my wife to listen to this station because of the 70s stuff that is actually really good. There is plenty of music from 2002 that is actually worth playing.
Sorry to everyone else that voted this song very high, just had to come drop my two cents. The 90s and music spawned from it are my one sensitive point when it comes to music. I just don't know what happened to that entire period of music aside from some amazing indie gems. I feel like the entire indie revolution of the early 2000s was a response to songs like this, ushering in the death of the 90s and a new era of decent music on the radio again. It was right about then that Modest Mouse and Deathcab and The Mars Volta were all getting bought up by major labels so maybe the music executives were thinking the same thing too.
