The pipes don't work well, either when keeping time or used for the Mannheim Steamroller imitation. Not my cuppa.

It sounds like I opened one of those cards with a little chip in it to play an abrasive obnoxious melody while I read the note.

God—you are so right. Horrid!
Bring the Scottish Funk up in here!

Knowing what little I do about Bagpipes and how to play them, these guys are incredible! The speed is out of this world!

PS anyone who wants more bagpipe-included rock, check out Brother. They're from Australia. Awesome!

Yes, BROTHER is wonderful!
It's "appropriate".
I LOVE LOVE LOVE bagpipes but electronic ones do nothing for me.{#Snooty}

Or rather, if you like this, you'd like Off Kilter.

I like both bands. Off Kilter is a whole lot of fun live. If neither is traditional enough for you, try Battlefield Band. https://www.battlefieldband.co.uk/
And to all the 'pipe haters: I was at a concert earlier this month (with my eight-year-old daughter) to see a band that was THREE bagpipers and a drummer. (https://www.teribusmusic.com/) That show rocked, and you're missing some of the most spirited music in the world by shutting this out.

So nice to hear bagpipes.  I have several bagpiping CDs at home, but I'm not allowed to play them by you-know-who.

Gosh, I love bagpipes and dogs, too! Wishing you a good day...

Rated marginal some time ago, haven't heard in ages, then it comes on and gets downgraded to sucko barfo.  Please remove from your playlist.
It would be really neat if RP could play some Rare Air.

AUCK, AYE! Reach under ye kilts and give 'em a wee squeeze! Stop talkin' like a bunch a wee whiney bab-ees!

Aye! Now you're thinking with your dipstick, Jim-meh!  {#Whipit}

(Sorry, I couldn't help myself! {#Curtain} {#Tongue})
I would rather hear the Wolfe Tones than Wolfstone.
MAKE IT STOP!!!!
Criminy. this has about as much soul as a rock.  If you're going to do something vaguely traditional, leave the 'tradition' in it.  It's like celtic muzak.

(Having said that, I ranked it up for the mighty talented bass work)

NB they weren't playing bagpies, it was Northumbrian pipes or something similar - no drones and slightly quieter!
...and this is why RP shines!

Heh.  More like WolfstOWNS.  Get it?  See what I did there?
Nice to hear this one.  It's been a while. {#Bananasplit}
Yay!!! A place to get my Celtic On!!! Woooo!
thank god bagpipes are expensive and difficult to come by..
:thumbsup:

Satan has a band?!? Cool!  {#Lol}
And I'd always figured he was into metal or Manilow

Or a mashup of the two.

This is seriously awesome stuff. Time to dig out the old Wolfstone CDs and rip them to the iPod.

Always love this band. Since late 80´s, With the Pogues, Waterboys,Dubliners, Nightnoise, Celtas Cortos...
COYOTE UTAH, EXPAND YOUR HORIZENS. GREAT STUFF!
I live in Ireland too. I think this is great.....very rousing. Mind you I'm over 40 so !! garthwb wrote:

I think you have said it all, sir.
It's kind of fun, but I can see how it might be easy to get too much of it.
Sorry to be negative, but I totally hate this song.   {#Puke}It just sucks in every imaginable way.

The Apropriate Dipstick?
It's like Dave Matthews and Beelzebub had a baby and someone gave it bagpipes!!!!
I SO love bagpipes!
Cool stuff, with great bass work in there.
Probably a lot of fun live. Not so much here. The cutsie Irish thing doesn't fly with me. If you're not playing Amazing Grace, put the #@#$ bagpipes down!
Saw these guys about 10 years ago at the Strawberry Music Festival just outside Yosemite. They blew everyone away. Lots of fun live.
I like the first part of the song but..by the end I already developed a headache..way to many bagpipes..ouch
If you like this you\'ll love IronHorse! Their first album is just as yummie as my mums cooking!
Yep...nice. I also recommend the Young Dubliners, https://www.youngdubs.com/ They put on a pretty amazing live show.
Not bad. Sounds like AfroCelt Sound System - who are a bit better with a wide range of sound. Uillean pipes, drums, pennywhistle, etc. :)

Try this link: Wolfstone Discography on CDNow Sometimes CDNow gets confused. Hehe BTW, this album does kick some major butt. I like it! Whee (feet can't stop moving!)
Too bad the \"Buy This CD\" link doesn\'t work. Funny how that happens for all the really cool celtic music.
Hmm, thought maybe it was an Ashley MacIsaac tune I hadn\'t heard before when it first came across my speakers. I dig. I\'ll have to check these guys out. I also highly recommend The Lash at https://www.thelash.com As for the bagpipes versus uillean pipes argument, they\'re not uillean pipes. They sound like bagpipes, though perhaps they are synthesized.
Very enjoyable. Perhaps include some Ashley MacIssac?
I came in halfway on this.... is all their stuff this good?
uplifting. :)
f**kING AWESOME! I love bagpipes.
Old Scotland with modern rock flare. Outstanding!
Uillean pipes have a bag, but are bellows- rather than mouth-blown -- very important for thirsty Celtic musicians!
Probably not bagpipes but Ulelean (sp?) pipes - the pipe bit without the bag.
