Daughter of a Marine Corps Sergeant like this? Hell yea. I'm female and feral.

{#Good-vibes}

My dad was a 30+ year career Army officer & veteran of WWII & Korea. He enlisted in the 30’s as a buck private primary to have a paycheck to help his family of origin, being the eldest of 10 kids. He was brought back up in WWII & commissioned as an officer. He retired after 30+ total years as a decorated Infantry Lieutenant Colonel. I was born in an Army hospital & grew up on various bases in the US & Germany. At 19 I was drafted in the very last draft in 1972 & enlisted in the Navy, serving as a Vietnam Era veteran as an air traffic controller for 4 years. The war ended halfway through my tour & I was not deployed in a combat mission. My dad passed in November 1987 & I think of him often, honoring his service to the country he loved & the family he supported.

My dad enlisted in the navy at the age of 17 in late 1945.  By the time he was done with basic training the war was over but  he went on to transfer to the air force then served a total of 21 years. Thanks Dad.
