The only thing I can dig up on Google is a pretty heartfelt but opaque statement the band put out.

My sister is a lighting/production manager and sometimes she gets the inside scoop (and backstage pass for me) on what's up with bands (The Cars, Joan Jett, Metallica, dozens of others...) but no word on what's up with RKS.

Sounds like they're keeping it close to the vest for a reason. Not a bad idea no matter what, but it leaves idiots like me speculating on what it could be. But if one of them's fighting for their life, going on tour with a sub would be pretty harsh.

Is he alone? Saw him a few years ago with Jerry Douglas. He looked like he was having the time of his life. His latest album is as good as any of his others.

Seeing two legitimate badasses tomorrow at the fabulous Yoshi's in Oakland.
Danny Seraphine is in the lead for the Musician Most Screwed Over award, when he was fired from Chicago "because he couldn't keep time." He was a founding member, unlike the majority of the folks in the (very very good) band now.
Marc Bonilla brought Keith Emerson out of his slump, cranked out some fantastic shows with him, played at his memorial gig (with Rachel Flowers).
Small club, usually fantastic seats. (For Joan Osborne my knees were up against the stage, and for Brand X there were only a few rows between us. If you eat in the restaurant before the show, they reserve great seats for you while you stuff your face with sushi and sake.)

Here's the 74 year old guy who can't keep time, last year, with Bonilla playing left-handed guitar.
and Bonilla the the Keith Emerson Band

Strangely, they are not the headliners for our show - they're opening for Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade (with Sean Lennon).

That sounds cool.  I just noticed that the Foo's are at the same venue that we're going to Sunday.  They're going to be there Friday.  I wish I'd known sooner.  It's sold out except for some 500.00 tickets.  No thanks.    They have never, ever disappointed...but that's a little much.

Yeah...it's on Father's Day so I figured it would be a good distraction.  It's at Oak Mountain.  Great place for concerts.  Outside venue.  I just hope it doesn't rain.

Not a concert, or show per se, but Anthony Fauci is going to be interviewed on campus week after next. I sure hope I’ll be able to get in!
