I think a lot of people think of design - or just about any creative skill - as being little more than a "hobby" or something like that.
"It must be fun to draw pictures or play piano for a living, so you won't mind doing it for free..."

CL should remove the radio buttons and make people type in the compensation. Even people who are offering pay check the no pay button on the off chance some screwball will do it for free.

It's too bad he probably wants computer-based work. In the old days, someone who was peering over your shoulder might "accidentally" be reminded not to do so by a t-square, triangle, or an improvised "X-Acto knife launcher". Really, though, who does he expect to respond?
