The book wasn't too spendy and it's really nicely presented, for what it's worth. I guess I'm saying it would be a nice Christmas gift for a lot of people around here. But I already got one so just send me a burrito I guess.

It's funny and challenging and not a comic strip, it's mostly text with amusing illustrations and I recommend it. Three PhDs—one in physics, one in chemistry and one in economics—are marooned on a desert island. There are combing the beach for food when they discover a can of beans in the sand. They have no tools except what is on the island so they start discussing how to open the can. The physicist says, "Let's create a machine using a tree and a rock to inflict enough force on the can to rupture it and we can eat the beans." The chemistry PhD says, "No we risk splattering the beans everywhere and getting none. Let's create a chemical solution that will corrode the can and create a hole to get to the beans." The economics PhD. says,"No we risk contaminating the beans and getting none." The physicists and the chemist look at look at each other and then the economists, "How would you open it then?" He looked back at then ans said, "Oh, well, first...assume a can opener..."
