Sorry, I've now found RP in "Music and Audio" and can see there is 12.73mb in the cache. That doesn't sound very much! Is that what ytou are referring to?
Ah, I see that, thanks. So, it's now downloading (woohoo) and tells me there is plenty of music I can listen to. Presume I just press the "Play" button and away we go, offline listening? Thank you so much for your help.
Thank you for your help. I have a Google Pixel 4a phone but cannot see any reference to Cache Manager in the settings. Another reply has kindly pointed me to the RP app and the cache functions therein which I'm following (but still don't know how to play music off-line!)
Sorry if I have misunderstood you.

Cache is a data-block of music, you can download an listen to later. First step: Connect to a Wifi, then open Cache Manager and add a block to download on your phone. You can add as many blocks at lengths up to your phone's storage limit. Then, later use Play From Cache, instead of direct (online) play, et voila. (Cache that has been listened to gets deleted automatically from your phone.)
Hope this helps.

In the app on your phone there's a panel for saving a cache (duration, etc) and whether you want it to sync to the main stream so that when you go on and off wifi your music won't restart. I haven't used it in a couple of years but that should get you started. You can't back up or restart the cache, so you need to refill it (automatic or manual).
Thank you for that. I/m in the RP app and can indeed see "Cache Storage Location" in which I've selected "Primary storage (92,21gb free). Is that what you mean I should do?
I've also selected Main Mix and Mellow Mix in "Cache autofill".
Assuming that's all OK, how do I now get to play it off-line?
I know, I'm a dinosaur.....But, I don;t know how to listen to RP via the cache (or, frankly, even what a cache is!!). I saw reference to the fact that I can listen off-line whilst in my car and would love to do that to avoid using my data allowance. But. how do I make this happen?
Thank you in advance for any replies. If you prefer to answer in brontosaurus language, that's just fine.
