Ok. You're confirming my initial "hunch". The video wasn't posted in any seriousness at all, but to crack a joke on German dialects. The "Hesse" dialect is quite unique in Germany. Therefore, the song in the video was popular, back in the day when OV roamed the scene. No more, no less.
I meant no offense. If it works for you guys and has emotional resonance, great. For me, there are a number of things about the video that I found jarring. Die Musik klingt nicht für mich.
1. The overall stiffness of the presentation and the music. The main singer with the bangs, mustache and lion's head of hair swings a little bit but this group is practically marching in place.
2. The number of performersâ9? 10? How many do you need?
3. The fashion styles are all over the place.
4. German rapping is an acquired taste. Sadly, I don't have it.
Hey, if you like the band and the music, great. I confess I find a lot of German rock and rap clunky. I've studied German (although I've forgotten most of it) but I don't feel that the language flows smoothly or gracefully. The song (i think) is supposed to be edgy and urban. To my ears and eyes, it feels like a government Public Service Announcement: "Don't be a disgrace! Put your trash in its place!"

That was an insider between OV and me. So sorry to keep you bored.
...and then, not. - What makes you throw this out, exactly?
