I never knew any of my grandparents who died way before I was born, but I would have them there to meet them.

But my birthday is about a month before the hunting season so
I'll have to settle for just unplugging the phones all day.

Just wondering after Rose's journal what other people would like to do.  We have friends who plan a special day every year for birthdays- maybe a horse-riding expedition or a balloon ride.

Fo me it would maybe be spending the day with HJ- maybe taking a long hike on Dartmoor and finding a cosy pub with a warm fire for lunch.  Preferably making a long day of it and staying at the house down at Double Waters where I spent a lot of time growing up.
