I just can't quit GoDaddy. It's 11pm, and I can call, and some nice guy patiently walks me through why all my old emails have disappeared (my iTouch has a little setting that started deleting emails over one week old. !!) And they're gonna restore the old emails. And it's only gonna take a few hours. that's tough to beat.

The company has committed to donating 20% of all hosting revenues generated from the NoDaddy promotion. Click here for more details: http://www.venovix.com/elephantconservation. Nice, and I'm sure they're a great company. Unfortunately I'm also a cheap bastard or I wouldn't be with GoDaddy in the first place. Venovix looks about 2.5x more expensive than HostGator.

Site Migration: - Looks like Jaguar is free but I'm not sure. They don't mention it on the basic plan but the do on the next level up. But in the fine print of the basic they say it's free. Proceed with caution.
- HostGator specifically claims free migration and makes a big point of that.
- HostExcellence apparently wants $49 for the migration.
I hadn't really given it a lot of thought because it fills me with dread all the fixing and tweaking and possible glitches but I'm going to check my expiration dates and do it then...

Your Jaguar company looks good too.
The more I think about it, the more I'm disgusted. A lot of my friends are posting that they've canceled their accounts.

So. Who's you're favorite web host company, and why.
It's time to fire GoDaddy for unethical behavior. I'm really sorry to do it, because as a web host company, they've been FANTASTIC. I've got dozens of websites and clients to move... I'm looking for excellent, 24/7 service. Yes, I want the best of the best.
Even though I already replied to your FB post, I'll post here as well: JaguarPC
