After working all day yesterday under an oppressive deadline, I escaped to walk on the bike path. My head was so full of work and personal stuff that I didn't listen to my iPod. I just walked really fast and listened to the birds, the rushing water through the culverts, and the wind in the trees. I took in the sights and slowed the pace to leisurely for the walk back. Just beautiful. A good decompression exercise.

It's amazing how there were zero birds up in the hills... they're all around the lowlands I guess.
