It's always around me, all this noise
But not really as loud as the voice saying
"Let it happen, let it happen (It's gonna feel so good)
Just let it happen, let it happen"

All this running around
Trying to cover my shadow
An ocean growing inside
All the others seem shallow

All this running around
Bearing down on my shoulders
I can hear an alarm
Must be morning

I heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round
It's gonna carry off all that isn't bound
And when it happens, when it happens (I'm gonna be holding on)
So let it happen, let it happen

All this running around
I can't fight it much longer
Something's trying to get out
And it's never been closer

If my ticker fails
Make up some other story
And if I never come back
Tell my mother I'm sorry

You know we're not
You know we're not thinking

You know we're not
You know we're not thinking

You know we're not
You know we're not thinking

You know we're not
You know we're not thinking

Maybe I was ready all along
Maybe I was ready all along
Maybe I was ready all along
Maybe I was ready all along

Genuinely surprised at how many people really hate this track! This stuff is genius! I even love the section that sounds like a skipping CD, because it's so inventive - a friend of mine told me this song is about a guy having a heart attack in an airport, so I think it's a pretty good musical analogy for the heart conking out.
Hail to this colorful world - may nobody's taste stay unsatisfied.
I guess this proves that song scores are only for site decoration. I mean has a really low score ever led to a song being removed from the playlist?

Every day in our office there is a collective sigh of relief and then laugher as I switch from this song to another station.
Jeb!.........JEB!

Gosh darn it! Kick the Victrola!

Dern needle's stickin' again!
The middle part is terrible, but the beginning kind  of okay {#Think}
Great new track!!

Indeed, the rest of the song is okay, but the skipping part immediately made me feel uneasy.
Apalling, fucking awful
Interesting. . .
Perhaps my least favorite song I've ever heard on RP.
I know it's repetitive and sounds unfinished. But I kinda liked it. Maybe it's because of tunesmenship or what but I just liked it. 7 -quiet likeable

So many better songs are playing on other stations.

Dear Jay @ Tame Impala,

I know it's fun to sit in your basement with your Korg Volca making loops. And I know it's fun tinkering with it, slowly reshaping those throwback synth sounds coming out — generally and being creative and all. I know. It's REALLY cool while you're exploring. But for God's sake, I we don't want to hear how your little loop developed. We listeners  I do not have the tenacity to listen to evolving nuances as you drummer types do. So my advice is when you DO come up with something interesting, then focus, focus, focus, and cut, cut, cut. Anyone listening can easily identify about 4 minutes of audio that should have been edited from the final cut of this track. I know you won awards and stuff, and I have no place to tell you want to do. But I really think this track deserves some heavy editing.

Fixed your typos.
Not a great tune - decent groove - I've heard much worse.

I keep thinking someone needs to jog the needle on that record (sure, the thought "dates" me, but man, is that skipping section annoying).

I hate when it happens...
and I was wondering if i could give it rate 1, once more with a feeling  {#Yes}
Bold move putting the "my computer is glitching out" segment in the middle of the tune. At first I'm like "damn I didn't save my work"; followed by "oh, new Tame Impala". Got me again TI

Well put! I couldn't agree more. This melody was brilliant and really enjoyable until that incredibly annoying loop came, and the rating instantly dropped from 9 to 2.

What a shame, this could have been such a fantastic melody.

Is that your way of saying "with all due respect", then?

Is that how you think this works?
If only Sonos had access to the PSD feature lol.
Too bad Kratwerk already used the song title "Endless Endless".
Help! I'm being held prisoner in a vocoder factory!

ditto
PSD and get Led Zeppelin - Kashmir. Hahaha 1 to a 10 god i love that button.
Not so bad until the skipping part starts, then it's all downhill from there.
Let it not happen
Simply hate it. As others have said: {#Frustrated}
I'd rate the song about a 4 until it gets to the part where it sounds like the record is skipping. That's about a 2, so I'll give it a comfortable composite rating of 3.
I can ignore this just fine until that skip business - then more focused listening after the "recovery" is not paying off either.

please.stop.playing.this.abomination.
Too much like a record skipping in places.
is this song skipping, someone hit the record please
The rating on this one is the lowest I've ever seen at a 3.8 today.
Interesting -  although I don't think I'm in the right state of mind (if you know what I mean) to truly enjoy this.

Don't like this at all, but am glad to be exposed to it. Radio Paradise is terrific!
{#Frustrated}
Amazing song , different from previous records but always surprising . I cannot believe how somebody can rate it below 7 ....
Awesome.
PSD got me Let's Dance {#Music}
{#Dancingbanana}
awful awful awful
Should be faded out just before the stupid skipping and we would probably all be a little more comfortable.  Actually, once that rubbish stops I seem to enjoy it quite a bit....

Tame Impala is not a studio band, they do a lot of touring. Practically anything they record in the studio, they can reproduce on stage. As far as the skipping sound, I love the way they foreshadow that and then transition out of it.

Right?!!
How does a 3.8 survive when there are so many other great songs not being played?

Me too.  I can't imagine this as a choice:  "This part sounds like the CD is skipping...cool."

I love this one. Kevin Parker has injected some funk into Tame Impala's sound. Great new track!
ugh! What an annoying song

Jah man.  ....Bra, please pass de bong ... glurg, glurg, glurg, glurggggg ... aaahhhhh...I'm digging my self-hypnosis.

I thought the song was skipping and then realized it wasn't.  Maybe this is what RP plays when they need to take a bathroom break??
"Lame Impata" — a new take on really annoying.  "Annoying" being a 1.5 on the  RP scale?
That was painful.
I'm not a fan of anything that can't be performed live. This one uses way too much studio trickery for my liking.
Wow, I feel like I'm missing something with this song... I dig the beat and the transitions, but I do think it goes a bit long. No clue what people hate so much. We liked Tame Impala's other songs, right? So confused.

ETA: Well, playing it four times in 50 hours doesn't really help, I think
This song is just plain bad!

Oh my God!  You played this yesterday I think.  When it played I turned off RP when tune started to repeat what sounded like a skip.  PSD was not strong enough for such a sound.  And now you are playing this again?  Much of this song sounds "acceptable"  But these cr*p repetitive noises are TOOOO MUCH.  Please get rid of this song!!!
Boy, this is annoying.
I just plugged in a new DAC on my computer and thought it was malfunctioning.
And the phasing after that!  I think I'm gonna puke {#Foot-in-mouth}

Still like it tho!
Seriously, the fake skipping makes me mute this song every time. ugh.
Wow tough group out of the gate!  Not my favorite song by them, but a 6 on first listen seems fair...and some editing with the "ambient throbbing" midway through would have served them well I think.

I'm not fond....  boring, monotonous and repetitive

that fake skip is quite annoying
I'm with you guys. A band I usually like, but I ran for the mute button when the skipping started. Blech.
 Dave_Mack wrote:

Agreed...and at 3.2, it may be the lowest rated song on RP!
Annoying.
lots of tame impala today. interesting.
I did my part - was able to drop it from a 3.9, to a 3.8.
I like this band, but that faux skipping turned me off and made me forget the rest of the song.
Perhaps it will grow on me, but for now, less than meh.
Really love this song.
Seriously sounds like it's stuck in the middle - hit the CD player to get it going again...
A very, VERY rare low vote from me. yish.
i don't like to leave negative comments... and i'm trying hard not to "let it happen"... but...
Love it. Melodic, hypnotic, entrancing.
Please make it stop ! Rarely ever say anything negative about the music here but this is awful...
What happened? I used to like this band. {#Stupid}
First time played, not over yet and already 8 1 votes.  Interesting.

(8 or more, apparently)
Are there two songs playing at once? {#Frustrated}
Drilling a hole in my head. 3 for now.

Sweet mother of NEW Tame Impala!
Alright - new Tame Impala!

Looking forward to the new Pond album also!
