"14th and Stupid" was the nickname for this intersection on The Hill in Boulder, CO circa mid-80's where trustafarian chemical-musical indulgence butted up against the front range of the Rockies. The Samples provided the soundtrack for those crazy days 20 years ago (yikes!).

Its one of the stronger songs on the album imo, although they were all pretty solid around this time frame. The title of the song is named after where they used to play/rehearse in Boulder, CO.

Not my favorite on the album - When It's Raining, Summertime, Nothing Last for Long are stronger - but this is still good and always brings a smile.

I've never gotten much into The Samples, but I do enjoy their music. I got few live shows of theirs that are always enjoyable to listen too. Anyone who's interested can download some of thier live stuff at Archive .org

I know nothing about this band. Sounds like Sting playing with a Gospel drummer and a Keyboard player with a rig from 1989.
