Can't say I've ever heard Amelia Curran, but this really turned my head. It should be obvious that music speaks to us on a very individual basis, without launching into a thesis, I'll just say that the vibe I get from the RP folks is one of respect, and though I don't want to put words in their mouths I think they put out a range of music for us so that a community is formed. So let's just enjoy it the way we can, and as my 92-yr old momma would say: if you can't say something nice... As I heard one time at work: "Keep the junk out of the funk!" Life without RP would be a little boring.

It's "ok"...I just keep thinking of the 10 other artists in this vein that are MUCH better.

There are so many reasons I hate this song... the fact that the artist is a newfoundlander is not really one of them. It's just a terrible, repetitive song. Period. And I grew up in the maritimes, so cut me some slack...
I grew up in St. John's, newfoundland around the same time Curran did, and I have good friends who are good friends with her. I've been feeling uncharacteristically homesick lately, and this ain't helping :) Love it all the same though.
