Icehouse is one of my favorite bands, thanks for playing them Bill! I have to add that I consider this song a 1 compared to so many 10’s they have. Still a good song though🤷‍♂️

Love this. I first saw Icehouse play when they were called Flowers it was in early 1978 on the Kidney Lawn at the then QIT. Memories are getting dim though.

Funny that sometimes present day tunes have an eighties sound to them, and for that one, it's almost the opposite (at least to my ears).
The 1980s vibe definitely comes across, but this sounds as though it was made more recently? Not sure what's giving me this impression. Like they could share a stage with MGMT. Icehouse and Management that's funny in itself :-)

Icehouse was the opening act for a Roxy Music concert in the Arena of the Sydney Cricket Ground in the early 1980's (1981 or 1982) and the whole evening concert was great.

Icehouse never came to much and that was really Father Time calling the end of the road for Roxy Music...  but still great memories for me.

Nice anecdote! I know only too well this situation. Remember me back in the days, singing to the record shop owner (obviously without success). So painful, but what was I supposed to do, without the bands name, without a title? Damn, how I hated the radio-djs for that.
The youth of today is so incredibly lucky with "shazam" and all the informations from internet-databases like "discogs".

It was either Alan Freeman or Tommy Vance who'd played this on the radio many years ago. I taped it (on a TDK SA90 of course).  What I thought was said at the end was ... "To drive the point home, Tripoli there, with Icehouse ..."  and then the tape stopped. Asking about a band called Tripoli drew blank looks from the record shops. Quite a while later I figured out what he said would have said was ... "To drive the point home triply there, with Icehouse, from the album Icehouse, the track called Icehouse." 
Great to hear it again, good tracks on the album.
