Wow! Just Wow!

The transition from Elton John's "Sixty Years On" to this song was so seamless that Godless just seemed like an extension. It blew my mind, and I'm not even stoned.

If you keep doing those kind of seques, Bill, you might even be able to start up a successful online radio station

More on this -   if you listen - the TRUMPETS are similar to the trumpets used by the waterboys on  early albums  think A Pagan Place or This Is The Sea ( the pan within maybe )   old england is dying?   i'll need to listen to it again to be sure

Perhaps. Though, based on much of the Dandy Warhols catalog utilizing fairly trivial and repetitive chord progressions, that might be giving them too much credit.

A great track that had previously caught my ear as I had already given it an 8. May have to bump this to a 9. It's the kind of track you'd want on a soundtrack/playlist as you bring a bunch of old friends together for a reunion and say "Hey guys, check out the cool music I've been listening to."

I think it does include the one playing, as I've never seen "0". Besides, it can't be "0" as the moment that the song has been played for listener A, listener B may not have heard it yet :)

Don't forget the 6:08 live version!  Dandy's recorded two shows at the Wonder ballroom in Portland in 2013 that came out in 2014 (Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia Live At The Wonder).  And brought the horn player!  Some tasty trumpet on this cut

There is an "extended outro" on the "Capital Years" version which puts it over 5 minutes

And even to this day I don't get how George H was found to have unconsciously plagiarized the Chiffons' "He's so Fine"  - unbelievable really.  At least the Dandy Warhols made use of the "My Sweet Lord" sound humorously in giving us "Godless."  It's a 9 from this Sweaty Seattleite (hey it's in the 90s here {#Sunny}

It was fantastic to meet all of them.  They were very cool and down to earth.  Got to see about 3 songs during sound check, then the band hung out with us for a bit.  The show itself was great - but they had trouble with getting the sound right in the venue, so that could have been better.  Highly recommend seeing them if you can.

Churches, yes! My bad. My parents took my brothers and me to church about five times by the time I was 10 and then gave it up, so I don't have much personal experience to draw on. Now, M&D are hip-deep in their Unitarian local.

Saw them in Chicago recently they were excellent. If a fan definitely do the VIP option - they were VERY cool to meet and hang out with, plus seeing their sound check and a few songs they did, including my own request!  Courtney told me they will have a new album out in early 2016..!  He shared the production and editing became epic, but almost done.

BTW, Dig! movie fans, I asked about that and they all agreed it was very much edited to show tension between them and BJM that really was not there....your inside scoop of the day.
