Oddly enough, that "Old West" style wagon was in Potsdam, NY - a frozen town near the St. Lawrence River, across from Ontario.  There are two good colleges there though.

Well that's weird. I was looking for something yesterday, unrelated to tacos or wagons, and this thread got a hit. Wasn't what I was after but I read thru a few posts... and then here it is today. Doo dee doo doo.

Indeed there was, and I was it's creator.Taco Wagon radio was started as an online "extension" of a broadcast college radio show a friend of mine had at SUNY Oswego about 5 years prior.  The whole thing was an out of pocket hobby, not a business.  As such, it cost me multiple thousands of dollars per year just to keep licensed with BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC.  The additional fees and reporting SoundExchange was going to require was the real reason we shut it down.  Writing software to track of how many listeners listened to any particular song at any particular time was beyond what I had time, talent, or inclination for at that period of my life.

That said, it has been resurrected, running on Live365 to avoid the fees and reporting shenanigans.  I don't know if it's cool to be linking to or plugging non-RP stations so I'll just leave it at that and you can go search if you want to find it.
