I just recommended someone I have never met to glassbuteo based solely on the latter's LI profile.

So maybe what goes around.......

Mark me as GUILTY for being that "odd annoying message as a result of a group I joined".  {#Cheesygrin}

The RPM Group is now up to 29 Members! Who wants to be #30?

LinkedIn... I once signed in at LinkedIn and was immediately slammed with Spam from them. It was horrendous, and LI provides no easy means of dropping off their lists. It took many requests, letters, talks with 'personnel' and finally complaining to blacklist sites before they agreed to purge me from their sysstem. Spammers. Yuck.

That's great news, JD. Did you tell Rob to check out Radio Paradise?

Speaking of "Sex and the City", I have recently become friends with someone who is a second unit director on the SATC movie and is now filming the sequel.

And I must also like to add that the RPM Group over at LinkedIn is now up to 26 members. Let it GROW, let it GROW!

I'm excited to now be networked with Rob Mounsey today at LinkedIn. I've had a prior e-mail exchange with Rob, but this is great. I've admired the recordings on which he plays for a number of years now, especially the Back in the Pool CD by his Flying Monkey Orchestra (Steve Khan, "Toots" Thielemans, Michael Brecker, Lou Soloff, many others).

Summary (from LinkedIn)

Rob Mounsey is a composer, music producer, arranger, conductor and musician in New York City. You have heard and enjoyed his work countless times on hundreds of recordings; He also has written widely for film and television, including HBO's hit series Sex and the City. Recent credits include Usher, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Aaron Neville, Deborah Cox; also noted for work with Steely Dan, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole and others beyond numbering. He is a five-time Grammy nominee and winner of two Emmys.

That's cool. I have a friend who is a famous artist and who is a real close friend of the U2 singer dude. Does that count? (but nothing to do with linkedin)
