I was primarily hoping to get some sort of response from dave. He never does though. He ends up getting off the hook because everyone else seems to step in on his behalf and he ends up never having to respond to any questions about his posts. Offer to buy all of the above back at a price well above their market value.
Require every owner to register them - and pass the same background check - under the same rules the regulate fully-automatic firearms. These regulations mean that the BATFE can come to your home and demand to see said firearms and inspect their proper storage at any time.
If a crime is committed involving one of said weapons, mandatory 20-year sentence for the owner - even if the firearm was stolen. If the firearm was stolen, that demonstrates improper storage/handling of said weapon.
In a few years, they'll be gone, or out of ammunition.
This involves no confiscation whatsoever; unless storage requirements are not complied with.
