Yeah, that's a great one - good cast, good music, as well as the general spookiness. Funny that the article talks about seeing it in Salem; I had gone up to Salem for Halloween a few times years ago. It's a cool place.
Received an automated text from a utility contractor a few minutes ago:
"Hello, Friendly reminder to please ... "
My insta response upon seeing the use of "friendly reminder" would have been to retort 'fsck off!' Alas they thought about that, as the last part of the text says
"Reply "stop" to unsubscribe and this is an automated message please do not respond."
Well, I've always heard that looks can be deceiving and today I got proof. My biopsy results are in and what the doctor thought looked non-cancerous is indeed malignant and we are back at square one. They are setting up a time to get back to the OR so he can clear it all out once again and not sure what other path we may follow from there. One thing is for sure though, it won't be the immunology drug that caused this terrible hypothyroidism...I would not wish it on anyone. I will let you know when I find out. Take good care of yourselves, cheers!

So sorry to hear of the set back. I hope the path forward brings positive results. What body part is the issue, R? I had surgery for bladder cancer in early January & since then have been undergoing periodic immunotherapy which have been effective, so far.

One additional thought. I do not know how close you are to Houston, but with cancer, especially in the head, my first choice in Texas would be M D Anderson. When I got started 16 years ago, Anderson was one of only four places in the country that was able to treat me. Me, I would do whatever it takes to get there. Get your second opinion there.
What Kurt said, below. Docs have to be somewhat emotionless in the sense that they have to be clear-headed and thoughtful, but some take that as license to be uncaring. Sheesh.
And, some are so overwhelmed that they forget/neglect things that are important to you but not really on their radar. Comes with being a human, but not acceptable with cancer dx and tx.

Scans don't do it. My CT's came back good last week. The lymph nodes are still swollen and ache. I'll be setting up an appointment to talk about taking one out for biopsy. With mine, the only way to diagnose is with the complete lymph node removed and investigated. Needle biopsies do not work for mine.
All that you can do is push for more action and insist that you be listened to if you feel that things are not proceeding as they should. Second opinions are also invaluable. Insist on getting one, STAT, before proceeding on a new course of action. Leave no stone unturned. .

Uggh. It's a tough road ahead, but hopefully you will get through it quickly.

No one has a vote - most have a *right* to vote, and if you don't exercise that right, you have nothing.
You'll have what you have whether you vote or not. This is where we are because it's to where we have come. I might have said "progressed" but that might be misconstrued. In so many incredible ways we have progressed. And yet, the game is still a game and the winners are the same as the losers because that is the way it's measured in this world.
You better believe I'll vote, but I already have more than nothing either way. I'll be voting to honor that blood relevance and to continue searching for it.
