This is so much better than Red Hot Chili Peppers (I admit mostly because I hate the singer's voice, which I feel as whiny)

I like the music (a lot) but not the singing (at all).
I find Thom particularly bad on this one. 
Seriously, it sounds like a cat with his balls trapped in a locker... wtf ?!?

I recommend reading his book. It's autobiography and goes much deeper. Flea is real stuff.

This album is really cool... It makes this GenX heart groove. I love that Flea not only plays all the bass parts (duh) but the Trumpet parts as well. 

What truly kills me is that Hillel Slovak talked Flea, a jazz trumpet player, into learning the Bass for a new band he and their fellow Fairfax HS student Anthony Kiedis were forming: RHCP. 

Now Flea is considered one of the best bassists of all time.
