He's my white feather hawk tail deer hunter
Likes to keep me cool in the hot breeze summer
Likes to push me on this green John Deere mower
I know you wish you had a man like him, it's such a bummer
When I met him, like an arrow
Like a bird in the heart, like a sparrow
In the dark (Snap), snap, crackle, pop, tch
We're a match, he's just in my bone marrow

Everyone knows I had some trouble
But I'm home for the summer
And I wanted to know if I could use your stove
To cook somethin' up for you 'cause you're

Positively voodoo, everything that you do
Did you know exactly how magical you are?
Whoopsie-daisy, yoo-hoo, yelling, "I love you"
Out to my white feather hawk tail deer hunter
Take my hand off the stove, hun
Yelling, "Yoo-hoo, dinner's almost done"
Whoopsie-daisy, yoo-hoo, I imagine you do
Know how absolutely wonderful that you are

He's my white feather hawk tail deer hunter
Before I met him, wore a bow over three summers
Now it's a ribbon 'round my neck, and it's cherry-colored
I've just been baking, waitin' on a spirit hunter
I got a nicotine patch for the summer
Yeah, I'm a ghost, doesn't mean I feel nothin'
Put it on my ass, no tan lines summer
I love my daddy, of course, we're still together

Everyone knows I had some trouble
But it's been three summers
I know it's strange to see me cooking
For my husband, but it's

Positively voodoo, everything that you do
Did you know exactly how magical you are?
Whoopsie-daisy, yoo-hoo, yelling, "I love you"
Out to my white feather hawk tail deer hunter
Take my hand off the stove, hun
Yelling, "Yoo-hoo, dinner's almost done"
Whoopsie-daisy, yoo-hoo, I imagine you do
Know how absolutely bad I'm with an oven

Whoopsie-daisy, do you think it's okay?
Whoopsie-daisy, deposition cocaine
Yikes, like, maybe should've saved for a friend
Stick with picking daisies for Instagram

All this inane blather over a childish 4-word phrase.

Interesting, creative, different, entertaining - my 4 words.

It has a PATD! song name length but this "Whoopsie-daisy, yoo-hoo" persona is sooooo annoying.
I gonna rate this very low because her live performances do not match her studio recordings. This song live must be horrendous!

what persona? she's always been like this lol. she's happy and in love and wants to sing about it. she's lovely live, but even if she wasn't, what does that have to do with the quality of the song itself? sounds like you just have something against love (because real love typically does make you go all whoopsie-daisy yoo-hoo)

also, for what it's worth, if anything- you're thinking of a Fall Out Boy song title length. P!ATD (not PATD!) had maaaaybe a handful of long titles on Fever, thanks to the Pete Wentz influence, but that trend never continued.
Not my kind of thing but I'm so grateful you play this range of music.  Art that scratches at the edges of popular taste is the most exciting, and so few venues have the guts to put it out there.  Braving the vitriol from miopic audience members who just don't get the need for art on the edge is commendable.  Remember, there was a time when Bach and El Greco and Rodin were new, strange, and unwelcome.  You're a hero, Bill!!
"Her music is noted for its cinematic quality and exploration of tragic romance, glamor, and melancholia, with frequent references to contemporary pop culture and 1950s–70s Americana."

... and isn't this tune a perfect example?

Exceptional!  Definitely a 10.
the more lana i hear the more i don't like her. kinda like joni, william likes her, so lana fits right into his _

gotta give it to her for making me stop what i'm doing to check out who this is (wtf am i hearing)
I would have never thought that I could dig a LdR's song, but it's just so happened...
I have very much liked the Lana Del Ray songs I hear on RP, and look forward to hearing them in rotation.  If this latest offering spun out of that gravitational orbit, however, I would probably not miss it.  I'm not really sure what audience she produced this song for (the ones who rated it 6+, to answer my own musing), but that audience doesn't include me.  Maybe her next offering will pull more on my music appreciation core.
I commend her for coming up with something that is well represented from a 1 to a 10
It is new and it is different. I appreciate William for playing it - definitely should not be rated below a 5, imho

Somewhat whimsical and as the profile suggests, tragically romantic. Kate Bush was probably perceived in a similar light. Ok composition, above average all round, 6 to start. Interesting to see it develop.

On a more technical note, the comment above was 50 minutes ago and I am just hearing the song now. I have only ever hit the PSD button twice in my life, I generally like to give every song the benefit of playing to the end, kind of respect to the artist. How is this time misalignment possible..?, anybody?

The only comparison that can be made between Lana Del Ray and Kate Bush is that they are human beings.

For the comment to be ahead of yours suggests that someone else hit the PSD button a few times
Poistively different! Don't know yet if I will like it in the months to come BUT there's no denying that Lana really tries to broaden her musical horizon. And ours as well...

well it's different
Well that was weird
One person's "Outstanding" is my "Marginal". To each their own!

"Whoopsie-daisy" certainly seems appropriate to describe the making of this song.

YMMV
