We think we are very modern but every time I hear this I think we lost something from the past where one could just sing about the plants, the fruits and enjoy it. The music still prevails and give me a good mood.

I remember hearing some calypsonian songs that, with a twinkle in the eye, touched quite the same or similar topics. But it's 25 or 30 years ago and I don't remember the band's names. Must have been from Trinidad/Guyana, about the same decades (around the 50s?). If somebody has more information I'd be keen to know.
