Monastrell probably is, besides tempranillo, the Spanish varietal I most detest. Which makes perfect sense, since you seem to dislike this song.
There's a great spanish monastrell wine called Demuerte. Can't say the same for this music.

an honestly puzzled question - what on earth are you doing here? If I wasn't looking for diversity in my music this station would be unbearable - but that's exactly what I AM looking for so it's the opposite. No disrespect intended, I'm just puzzled why you stay?
I just thought the same thing reading the quoted bit. "WTF you doing here?"
Won't be seeing them at a Rammstein concert. . .

Then why are you here? Go back to your local FM station where I'm sure all of the songs are in English.

Am I the only one that hears the snare on the upbeat of 1 and 3? If its on 2 and 4, I'm totally lost!!
The King of Bontempi Reggae!
But still quite good to listen to.
Thanks, Bill!

Sounds like a reggae remix of Thievery Corporation

Weaker lion? Sorry, just read the lyrics and that was always in my head when I heard this song.

This song is about a boulevard, a 4 way road with a lot of traffic jam that completely separate a city in half and that people had to cross without... dying... And there has been a lot of deaths...
This song is a tribute, a medecine.

OK, it's "basic" reggae, very "Bontempi" sounding... cheap. But Alpha has this very charming ingenuity that makes is music quite good.
I am not a reggae fan. But this is really good!!!
This is a highly underrated reggae album. The wailers are the backing band

J'ai entendu Boulevard Giscard D'Estaing ? Boulevard de la mort ? Rhoooooo
good to hear after many years :-)
I LOVE reggae.
If I hear a track like this, it moves me to dance, every time. It is as if I have an internal trigger.
It started in the 1970s listening to Ska in the UK and little snippets of Reggae that floated in here and there. Then I found Bob Marley and from then it has been a constant in my life.
Why am telling you this? I know that some (many) here on RP find a real problem with the genre. . . and I wanted to gently let you know that for some (many) it is like medicine. So, let it go and let others enjoy something that fills their spirit and in return, I will aim not to diss other styles I don't like. Fair enough?

I don't want to listen to this but I want to listen to RP and not a playlist so I'm on the MP3 stream.

Reminds me of Eek a Mouse, it would be nice to hear Ganga Smuggling on RP
Merci beaucoup. Thank a lot.

Great to hear Alpha Blondy on RP! Please consider occasionally playing Jerusalem, title song from same album as Boulevard de la Mort.
Great to hear Alpha Blondy on RP, thx Goldsmiths!
Played this album while driving my Russian/Jewish grandmother to Costco in 1987 or so... she was fascinated and excited to hear him singing "baruch atah adonai" in the title song "Jerusalem". She was actually able to translate quite a few of the lyrics.
Great set today!
I LOVE reggae.
