Everything you thought you had.
It was only passing through.
Everything you thought you knew
Knew you... better than you do
We were made to watch and wonder.
Though some days I can't get out of my head.
And I was scared of getting older.

Everything I wished I'd done.
And everything I wish I'd undo.
Everything that broke my heart,
Can't keep me from loving you.

Pray that inner light gonna make us blind.
Lead me to where I need to be.
We're not scared to lose our minds.
Cuz that's when we'll be what we're supposed to be.

Everyone here has got a shadow.
And everyone has their share of hurt.
When I'm dead, I'll be a rainbow.
What you were is what you're worth.

Pray that inner light gonna make us blind.
Lead me to where I need to be.
We're not scared to lose our minds.
Cuz that's when we'll be what we're supposed to be.

Please, PLEASE, Keep playing wonderful tracks like this! Always and forever RP.
CC was supposed to do a concert with the Minneapolis orchestra this past weekend. Instead, they put on a home concert with a bunch of new songs. The lead singer/guitarist sat in a dark room against a blank wall. His bandmates were all at home and they were virtually connected. Their images were projected on the wall behind him, switching between feeds. It was a great way to spend a sequestered night. My favorite part was when they played a new song, which was about imagining saying goodbye to his (now young) kids when they moved off as young adults. The drummer had his 1-yr old baby in his lap through the whole song, and the baby was completely content. This is a band of  very sweet souls.
Fun concerts.
I love watching the painters create as they perform.
Thx
If you have the time, the Cloud Cult documentary
No One Said It Would Be Easy is really worth watching. It's currently on youtube & on Hulu.
Never thought I'd express something like this, but, I really like the clap track!
This vocalist reminds me of Blind Melon

I've been streaming their music a lot lately. It's uneven but I really dig a lot of it. They're really unique - I hope I get to see them live one of these days.

They have a really fun live show. Definitely something not to miss if you get a chance!

Man, there are a lot of Cloud Cult haters out there. I'm not one, I think they are fantastic. Insightful lyrics, great musicians, cohesive sound. Glad that Bill ignores the detractors and keeps them on RP.

Amazing Band! Outstanding Song!
I really can't stand these guys. I think, mostly, it's the singers voice.
I try to listen and block his input out, and I really can't complain.
But..,
Please, PLEASE, Stop playing this awful band!

Why would I voluntarily listen to this?

ahhh - PSD took me to Suite Judy Blue Eyes.

I would have deployed the PSD even faster after that.
Not one of their stronger efforts....but I love this band :)
I love this band, and love the cover of the new album.
Liking the home town kids!

Quirky, yes. Sort of makes me think of Modest Mouse.
Whilst I am by no means any sort of an expert.  This sucks.  Long time since a posted a 2.

Argh!! PLEASE stop playing Cloud Cult songs. This one is even worse than that God-Dog-chase-the-tail one.

Hey, south pacific... Cloud Cult coming through in a tuneful way here in the north pacific.  I dunno, perhaps it's cuz we're standing on our heads relative to you.
You know the comments are not a second rating vote, right?
Irritating rubbish
Yes. An acquired taste.

I like them.
imo not interesting.  not entertaining or engaging in any way, yuck  rotten crap
Argh!! PLEASE stop playing Cloud Cult songs. This one is even worse than that God-Dog-chase-the-tail one.

I can see where some would find this annoying.
Surely not energetic air guitar rock and roll, but to my ear and soul it's thoughtful and different. There is no angst. Cloud Cult is all about we can do this. Find a better attitude.

annoying, think that about sums it up.
Interesting  but annoying.

My ears perked up when I heard the start. I like this group a lot, but not this song. It's got every little lame idiom they could think of with 10 seconds notice. WHEN, WILL, IT, END!!!?!!

Well put. Although I'd even call them lame clichés as much as idioms. Almost everything about this song seems wrong.

Bill, no stadium rock and football chorus please. Leave that to the mainstream stations

Based on your comment, I'm guessing you've never been inside a stadium or attended a football game?
I for one find these guys to have some of the more thoughtfulthoughtful,  positive and introspective music of our day.

Their sound is their own and I can see where some might hope for them to keep it to themselves.  I listen to them all the time though.

deep message from the Cloud Cult...that's why I like them.   Keep playing them....if we can lose ourselves, then we will become more

I'm loving everything I'm hearing from this album so far, which seems to put me in the minority on these guys (at least insofar as commenters are concerned)!

I like Cloud Cult but the singer, at times he sounds like a 8 year old boy
but it's his band, bet he wouldn't be allowed to sing in someone else's band

"You're not allowed to sing in our band..."
