I hadn't thought of the story this way.  Thanks for the insight.

I just like it.
great sound
I should like this more than I do. I’m not sure what’s missing.

I heard this story on NPR today.  I think it will explain quite a bit.

^ I can hear the Arcade and the Shins parts, but Porcupine? Where? Had it such influence or sound it could only work to improve this song, which isn't dreadful by any means IMO, but it ain't no PT song!
It's The Arcade Porcupine Shins
The same guys that did "Black Eyes":

...

You burned me, yeah you’ve burned me, yeah you’ve burned me now one too many times
My thoughts are the cold kind, I’ve got storm clouds that are brewing behind my eyes
And my heart will be blacker than your eyes when I’m through with you

Geesh: lighten up, Sandy baby!
so sucko-barfo.
nice lyrics, but the tune is so trite.
(lyrics now posted above -bg)
...gone are the days when the ox fall down...
That's some songwriting there...
The more I hear these boys, the more I like them.

And I was bound to be second...
I guess sooner or later I was bound to be first post.
I picked this disc up recently at one of their/his live shows.
Excellent show and CD.
