Slightly disappointed with this album - it's ok, but seems bizarre to me that this makes it to the RP playlist when a lot of much better (imho) Grandaddy songs don't...

I might be a tad biased here being the uploader... that being said, I agree that the new record generally falls into the "quite nice, 6/7-ish" category. Your Final Setting Sun (which earned an insta-"sorry") is stunning, though.

Agreed on both points! Such is the mystery of the upload system... us listeners can never truly understand how He works! :)

Absolutely! By and large he was Grandaddy, i.e. he wrote and recorded much of their music on his own.
