I think that accolade goes to The Edgar Broughton Band. You can add them to the list of great bands of the time as well as Taste.

I hope those lesser known names bring back a few memories for British Blues/Rock fans back in late 1960's just before Led Zeppelin finished them all off and became the dominant band of that genre.
I was late to this particular party though I did get to see Wishbone Ash, Budgie and BJH several times - also love The Groundhogs, Thank Christ For The Bomb and Split especially.
Rightly or wrongly I did get to see Judas Priest cover this.
This is so bad. How in the world do the have a greatest hits album?

I don't agree to this opinion. As a concrete fan of LZ, they became members of my collection, nothing more. Every group named by you, had then their special moment, some more, some less. LZ belong to the first category.

Wow, amazing, the connections among, through, and onward from this landmark band! Didn't consciously know the Dream Weaver/ Love Is Alive (a song I still love to crank and inspire myself well to!) guy was in this band back in the day, but sure do appreciate it all!

I loved Spooky Tooth back in the day. There are many better Spooky Tooth songs than this. Fantasy Satisfier, Hell or High Water, I'm Alive The Mirror all are a lot better songs than this that Spooky Tooth did.
Interesting bit of rock history that I apparently missed back in the day.

One of the best groups in its own time and that it is a lot to say considering the huge amount of musical options at the end of the 60's.
revisiting stealing my sister's albums...and I stacked them. she hated that!!!
