All I can think of is what the hell happened to R&B in the 50 years since this song? Seems the themes back then were a lot more human and positive or deeply introspective. So much trash nowadays.

Not a bad act, but they usually just didn't nail the songs like other Motown acts, most noteably the Temptations version of Papa was a Rolling Stone has far more power than that of the Undisputed Truth, maybe a bit too much psychedelic (too little soul) in their psychedelic soul (for me at least).
Truthfully....I can dig it . ... Learned these lessons hard...
