I wanna run away
Don't come out looking 'round
Too busy dealing with it on my own
He's right behind me
Please God I can't be found
Don't cast another stone
Feel out the night, until the sunrise
The City tells me not to go 'til dawn
And if he wakes that's when my heart breaks
And I'm as good as gone
How do I lie awake now
When I know I've got to be moving on
How do I lie awake now
When nothing's right and nothing's wrong
And in the end
Will we make amends
Just like we're face to face another dawn
And in the light, or when the moon shines
Will you take me on home
How do I lie awake now
When I know I've got to be moving on
How do I lie awake now
When nothing's right and nothing's wrong
[repeat]

Back when I was in my early thirties and had bought a nice acoustic guitar so I "could start playin' again" Alison Krauss was somebody I started listening to because of the acoustic guitar playing. I was aiming a little high there. The guitar is in the closet nowadays, but I still like Alison Krauss and her fine band, so not a total loss.

Beautiful voice and a talented band-
ive always loved her voice... i usually hate it when singers sound the same every song yet some singers have such distinguished likeable voices we prefer to our ears this is the case with allison and in certain accompaniments and or lyrical structures

Great voice Allison Krauss!
Wonderful lyrics and music. Great radio lists with room for everyone's comments.

Alright, 7 to 8.
I saw her in concert at the Portland Zoo amphitheater before my divorce in 2000. Confirmed my thinking that life could be better and I could be happier. It was all true. I re-married (not Alison) and have been living a much happier life for the last 12 years.

Oh burn. Look at you go, master wordsmith.
My favorite comments are usually: 10!!!!! or GODLIKE with the occasional BARF (in all caps of course) thrown in to balance things out.
Your suggestion of 'engage or go away' is curious considering the overwhelming presence of benignity on this forum. I thought the idea was to express one's thoughts regarding the music - not vitriolic dick-wagging at other poster's comments. But you have at it.
This song is most excellent btw.

Just few words, not about songs, but about RP:
I'm not sure, but I think some changes to the site of RP, can lead, for members and visitors, to a certain disinterest and withdrawal of participation, such as exclusion of the option "Request this song" exclusion of "web-camera studio", excluding the option "online members", the constant appeal to "HD Slideshow" (function dispensable, who is passively watching repeated random images? when there are numerous sites specialized in high-quality images, with slide-show?). I think the most important in a website is the interest shown by the airplay, but also by the interactivity of the forums, comments, etc.. It is important to note that the season of RP is alive, attended and participated. For this to happen, it is of any interest that people are focused on the pages of songs, for all reasons.
I have never seen you once reply to another commenter's post. Never. You write rebarbative comments that no one understands, and I am making major allowances for the language barrier. You take up more bandwidth than any other commenter, more than the next 20 highest combined. Your comments are 50,000 feet above the rest in terms of their condescension. You post adverts and plugs and meaningless promotional materials for bands. You waste my time.

Exactly. Well put.
REAL MUSIC...
And of course, as if just now, for this very one moment, this, this song, her voice, the tune, everything, is just right. Sadly
I took my family to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville a few years ago, and there she was - totally mesmerizing in everything she did, said, sang, breathed.... It was a real joy to see her, especially in that fun and open venue - and we had great seats.

So soothing after Tori's screech fest.
My auditory senses really need a cigarette...right about NOW. ...and I don't even smoke. Hmmm....
Alison Angel..... what a lovely voice.

OK, the last couple of comments got a bit weird below... so I'll take us back to what these comments were really designed to do. Alison has such a beautiful voice, I can always tell it's her, and the Union Station are awesome. Played a lot here, but yet another reason why I love to listen to RP!

I think you, already several times, you make replicas to my comments, in a manner no cortez, until overt and rude, which to me makes me think that goes for a lot of frustration there. Probably you need some new friends. So you not talk to me never more.

Because the song evoked these images.......some people are drawn to think that way. Me too.
I've pinpointed the art that should go with this song:
Wulfing Art
She was a child of the Holocaust - she witnessed all manner of atrocity around her, yet she was able to produce the beautiful, ethereal works that survived that horrific time. Someone found one of her drawings, trampled in the mud, and rescued it. How someone so oppressed and persecuted could produce such beautiful, calming images is not so much a mystery as a testimony to ourselves.

Every time I hear this, I love Alison Krauss and Union Station more. I hear Knopfler in the background - that's what made me turn it up without even knowing, from the few bars I'd heard, that it was Krauss...

This song is co-written by a Krauss, but it's not Alison, it's her brother Viktor Krauss. He's a talented musician in his own right.
