OK... this is not interesting... I am not optimistic...
in fact, I have now read the lyrics, and they are horrific... what a disappointment... I would have thought they would say something profound about Marlon Brando, but it was tired and mundane drivel...
not just a terrible song, but an insult to Marlon Brando to boot...
I think you've got the wrong perspective. I've looked at the lyrics just now and they look to be about the singer, not Marlon Brando. Not one of REM's best songs, mind.
