Speaking of Martha Scanlan, just heard a different song of hers, "Seeds of the Pine" on the Listener Review Channel.  Hope hope hoping it get's added to the playlist, because ... oooh wow do I like it.  BeSIDES sounding perfect, the lyrics knock me down:

i am so proud to see martha scanlon on radio paradise. I also used to see her with reeltime travelers..........she has a few songs that have absolutely stolen my heart..... great songwriter.........longlive the storyteller.. steelbridgefest.org

Moving from NJ to GA several years ago the local music was the hardest adjustment. This fits well with the local music, not sure if I would dislike it as much if it did not...

Talented and beautiful. She was in the amazing old timey string music band The Reeltime Travelers. Sadly not longer together. Bill, play some Reeltime!

I have never heard her before, but I LIKE it, I really LIKE it! At first she struck me as a more melodic, less twangy, Stacey Earle. Nice phrasing, nice spare arrangement, and I am a sucker for anything with steel guitar.
