I can hear your soul crying
Listen to your spirit sighing
I can feel your desperation
Emotional deprivation
Let yourself go
Let yourself go
Let your feelings show
Picking up the conversation
Deep in your imagination
Tune into the lonely voices
Talking of their only choices
Let yourself go
Let yourself go
Let your spirit grow
Step out of your cage
And onto the stage
It's time to start
Playing your part
Freedom awaits
Open the gates
Open your mind
Freedom's a state
I can taste the tears falling
The bitterness inside you calling
Yearning for a liberation
Emotional emancipation
Let yourself go
Let yourself go
Let your senses overflow
Step out of your cage
And onto the stage
It's time to start
Playing your part
Freedom awaits
Open the gates
Open your mind
Freedom's a state
Listen to your spirit sighing
I can feel your desperation
Emotional deprivation
Let yourself go

When this song ends I always have a feeling that I'm left in some windy desert, alone, with just tumbleweed passing by.
DM are just reliable & always deliver, their mode.
Love ‘em!
Man, that is boring.
The only radio I know that would play the 'other' cuts on the albums, of any album

I think you're being too kind. I've never read such a stream of cliches.

Superb deep cut from DM which amazingly has never been played live!
I think this a pretty good album

Not the best DM song I've ever heard, but I can tolerate it.

although after the first time hearing them play, i'm sure thoughts of suicide did cross your mind :)

i totally agree 100%.
my respect for their earlier work increased when i heard the innovation of their newer stuff. i LOVE this and, "Songs of Faith & Devotion". how is, "Exciter"?
I really enjoyed many of the cuts from "Exciter." They gained a different following when "Dream On" was getting airplay, but that's really the only song like it on the album, which is not a bad thing, IMHO. I tried uploading one or two to RP, but they didn't get accepted. If you like DM, then it's worth having "Exciter" in your music collection.

The quality of my afternoon just shot up 100 fold. Thank you whoever uploaded this!! I hadn't even realized how much RP needed more Depeche. And great to hear something recent, not just a "classic."

OK, so Depeche Mode have proved that they can pass themselves off as Pink Floyd. The point of all this being what, exactly? :?:

This is a very underated album from DP, by the time of it's release all the suicidal kids were grown up so it didn't sell.
FYI, Maryland is the Free State.
HOLY CRAP! Who uploaded this? THANK YOU!!!
HA! I was about to comment how much these guys sound like Depeche Mode
These guys are icons, at one point I had every CD they produced. And yet I never committed suicide!

Were you just talking to yourself?
