I'm glad that Edie is back. I liked her stuff, especially with New Bohemians. Seems she sort of took a LOONNG break after marrying Paul. Always had interesting intonations and phrasings, in the vein of (as somebody pointed out,) Rickie Lee Jones, but toned down.

You're right-- it's not awful. But to disappear form the music scene for so long and then come storming back with this? We're not impressed. She could stay gone and we'd be no worse for it.

Seriously folks, this song was not THAT bad. 
I mourn for the exceptional musicians denied studio time and marketing dollars so that connected has-beens can extrude vanity recordings.

I'm glad that Edie is back. I liked her stuff, especially with New Bohemians. Seems she sort of took a LOONNG break after marrying Paul. Always had interesting intonations and phrasings, in the vein of (as somebody pointed out,) Rickie Lee Jones, but toned down.
I like the sound of the new Edie. It's more mature. While this may not be the best song on the album, I have heard the whole thing and it is excellent! Definitely worth checking out.
When did Eddie turn into Rickie Lee?
