Your post is now 12 years old. I wonder if you've perhaps changed your tune, so to speak, of its testing of time? 🤔
This song is easy for me to sing when I am drunk. And I think I sound great!
Well thanks for the laugh, by God I'll bet you do sound great.
so dull i almost couldn't rate it.
and...didn't stand up to time, in my opinion.
didn't mind it when it was first out. i got the novelty. but...not now.

6th Avenue Heartache
or
10th Avenue FreezeOut?
...positively 4th street
6th Avenue Heartache
or
10th Avenue FreezeOut?
That may be true, but the slide guitar you hear is Mike Campbell, from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers....but he definitely has some George Harrison in his style.
I never knew.. I can definitely hear that now that you've mentioned it........

Also~ Red Letter Days~ Is good.
the newest Cd...meh, they haven't found their groove yet.( after 7 years apart)
Didn't know that Dylan's boy was in the Wallflowers.
Nice. Rambling electric country.
Just pictured Bob Dylan hammering on his kid's door: "Turn that trash down!" ...walks away muttering.
That's odd. In my experience for most couples it's the woman who likes it and the guy who just sort of has to grit his teeth and deal.
Nah, the wife just looks at me and says can't I play something else, SOON !!!
6->7
My recent purchase of one their albums (not this one, but also RP-inspired) has greatly increased my appreciation.
Good days, indeed!
Dig it. Jakob is easy on the ears and eyes
Safe to say he's better looking than his dad (but then so are most barnyard animals).

Dig it. Jakob is easy on the ears and eyes.
Now I know why I don't like this one as much as other Wallflowers tunes. That guy's voice will spoil anything, in my humble and bitter opinion.
Whether the apple falls from the tree or not has never been debated. It's the distance from the tree that said apple winds up that has inspired the saying you are attempting to paraphrase...
That's it! That's why it irritates after a few listens.

And Bob Seger, Springsteen, and a little bit of George Harrison's slide guitar tone thrown in for good measure. Gives you an idea of what they were listening to while they were growing up.
Maybe you are supposed to. It's about those that went before you... in particular perhaps, not always the famous ones, but he's crossing his fingers on a star....
LIke it a lot.
I was thinking the same thing. Good ear.
Now get back to work!
Both of us.

But if that were the case, it would be called "Absolutely 6th Avenue Heartache Hat Blues".
