I collide with the world again
Creep with the summer on my skin
Strapped to machinery, theory and catastrophe
Open up and let it in
Radar, we are, could be willing
Spot my eyes and cross the line
Tell me I'm more than I'm feeling
Say the mirror only lies
There's more than gravity pushing on me
I know the heart's a muscle, too
See a pulse up close and quiver
Still holding back the rapture
There's more than gravity pushing on me
Gravity decides
Radar, we are, could be willing
Spot my eyes and cross the line
Tell me I'm more than I'm feeling
Say the mirror only lies
There's more than gravity pushing on me
I know the heart's a muscle, too
See a pulse up close and quiver
Still holding back the rapture
There's more than gravity pushing on me
Gravity decides
Mirrors only lie
Gravity decides

"Gravity always wins" Thom Yorke
Gravity sucks But this song is pretty cool.

Perspective. It could be that the acceleration of gravity is perceived as one being pushed toward the mass in question. Pulled toward, pushed toward. Tomato, toh-mah-to.
Gravity is pulling, not pushing, otherwise good tune

A very happy day in my life was when my son sold his skydiving gear. He subsequently informed me he is not finished with skydiving. He's planning to tandem with his son when he turns 18. He is now 16.

Yeah, it's a cool tune, nice production. It sounds like they're using a baritone guitar in the mix: it gives a slight Morricone/Badalamenti feel to it.
Nice.

maybe it reminds you of the time you snuck onto the grounds where they filmed "Sunset Boulevard", you had on your Sears overcoat, and kept wondering when Security would start chasing you, but they never came man, and around that hedge was the swimming pool... oh wow man
No don't stop hijack the rest of his life
I'm not sure why but I really like the album cover. So there.

Good call. The vocals, but not the music itself, I think.

Tough call to follow SS...........
"Something new from Folk Implosion" says Bill. This is one very old re-run.
I really like this from these guys.
I don't care much for their hit.

i'm glad to hear it! otherwise, i might not have bought it like i'm doing right very now.
If you don't own this CD, you don't know what you're missing. It had the same effect on me then as Porcupine Tree does now. I couldn't listen to it enough.
Wait... this band had a song other than "Natural One"? And something not on the Kids soundtrack... freaky...

It's not just you, I thought that this was Donovan at first too.
Folk Implosion and Sebadoh in the same day. Bill, you spoil us.
BTW Lou Barlow was back playing bass with Dinosaur Jr last month on a small tour in the Northeast. Good time.
*snaps fingers*rocksheadfromsidetoside* yah!
Why do I hear strains of Donovan?
i remember them from the tune "Natural One" which i like better than this one.

Good stuff.
songs that remind me of the Doors are never good (a favourite quote of mine from Uncut Magazine The Doors: a bar band that got lucky).
This doesn't remind me of (to quote Denis Leary) "Big fat dead guy in a bathtub" and his partners in music crime, so i do agree with your final analysis. Good stuff indeed!
yuck

"I know the heart's a muscle, too"
Damnit! I thought I was the only one!
Ok, I want to like Folk Implosion ... I listen, I don't really likey. This song allows me to say mhmm ... I do likey a little. I probably don't like enough to buy a CD, but I likey enough to suspend judgement.
uhhh?? Who? OH!!!! Wow. Play more!
Holy crap - aren't these the same guys who do "Natural One?"
This is more interesting, though. I like this well enough...
I have to admit I was shocked to look up and see that this was Folk implosion. It is great to hear some of their "other" songs. More folk implosion indeed!
